    Hello everyone,

I have just begun an authority site in a niche. After writing around 30 articles for my blog I need some advice on organizational site structure because managing the range of topics is a bit intense. Currently I am just using posts/categories but I have read that some folks are using pages instead. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Try to create 4 to 8 SEO targeted Pages. This Pages is also the keyword you want to rank for, and try to interlink those post to the said SEO target pages, in this way it will give your keyword much strength to rank for. hope this helps.

To do it professionally you need to make it professionally also.
Because there is always a matter of class comes when you think about the quality of your work.

Calling your site an authority site is like liking your own status on FB. seriously!

To answer your question, look at what amazon, ebay and wikipedia do. Might want to lookup "silo" architecture.

    Thanks for the replies,

This project is completely whitehat and I am trying to build the best quality content I possibly can. The focus isn't to spam money links at all but instead to use some simple tasteful promotion. The goal is to build a site focused on long term profitability that is sort of a workhorse amongst my more experimental IM projects.

I have spent the last hour or so just sketching out how I want to lay this thing out, and I think I will try something like this.

Home - Contains general blog posts about niche (News updates, short tips, etc)

SubNiche1 - This is the main page for a subniche inside the nichePost will be around 1000 words
SubNiche1 - Tier 2 - This has more information relevant to subniche 1 but more specialized
    Subniche1 - Tier3 - More detailed information about the tier 2 topic
    SubNiche1 - Tier 2 - There will be multiple "tier 2 topics

    SubNiche2 - Another subniche

And it keeps going until I write about every group of topics I wish to discuss.

What are your thoughts / opinions?

Create Pages, Put targeted Titles and Description for each page, try to avoid repetition and internally link those pages in order to get a better user stay on your website or blog.
