The only way I'm able to get a click on a flash video is by using the imacros entreprise and recording it.
I'm also interested to know how to get imacros to click the play button on a video, like youtube.

You can do that if is a html5 player but with Flash is difficult since iMacros is not supporting it anymore (as i read)

iMacros scripted edition includes the iMacros browser itself which is capable of engaging with this kind of flash-based content. Generally speaking the Image Validation feature is what people might use for this if they were using iMacros. Have you considered other automation options?

If not, with the Image Validation feature you simply use it to take a small image of the play button, and it gets stored locally on your drive in the datasources folder. When calling the macro in this manner it will look for the IMAGE which matches your stored image, and you can make it click it.

There is code available on BHW in other threads about automation which can show you how to create a variable which can be used to control pausing, clicking, and other timing functions of your "script."

Just try it out for yourself. Once you get started with the Image Validation features of iMacros scripted edition it opens the doors to more complex routines and functionality that you might not have considered in your workflow previously.
