I am taking it to the streets and doing what I do best in providing some delicious food for the public.

I would like to take my skills in IM and try keep 1 step ahead of my competition.

What do you guys suggest in doing for SEO and some promotion for the truck ?

I really would have loved to promote the site and truck locally but since my maps location is constantly moving and has no physical address google maps is out of the question.

What do you guys suggest is best working on for such a business.

First of all, boost your social media presence for your area. Instagram, FB and Twitter. Get google listings on maps, local businesses and so on. Then do the local part, spread pamphlets and business cards to every customer at the truck. Always give out 3 or 4 cards so they can pass onto friends.

Then create fake ass stories and post on Reddit. See /r/hailcorporate for tons of examples on how to make up some bullshit story and get viral on Reddit. "OMG check out this dog sleeping with a cat" and take a photo of a dog and a random cat together with your big ass logo and truck right behind it. Or something like that. Be creative.

Just my 2 cents. Hope this helps.

You could use the address where you do your bookkeeping, the address where you have your commissary, or even your home address.

Will google accept a home address when signing up for this ? Last time I was reading, i saw something saying it needs to be a commercial premises to be listed on local maps.

Generally, Google accept any address - they will send a postcard to that address to be manually verified.

However, if your business doesn't serve customers at that address, you'll have to hide your address or it will get delisted.

There's a blog on MOZ about it. Look up for it.

I'm not sure where you are but in the State of Florida, you have to have a business like that associated with what is called a commissary. That is the location where you would clean your equipment on a daily basis.

They usually charge 40.00 - 50.00 a month and can accept mail for you as well and are usually in a commercial area. If you can work that out with them you are probably best off as it would be closer to the population areas where you are selling.

I am sure that you can use your home though as I have seen that happen a dozen times but I would use that as a last resort.

Make a website for your brand which should tell your visitors "where is your truck now" and "where it will be on tomorrow". Then create each page for each city you would like to target and do seo for each page. Now only 3 results of local listings shows on first page of google so no need to concentrate on map listings as you don't have a physical address.

One of best ideas so far, I don't know if it's within your capability/means but this coupled with an extremely simple mobile app would be fantastic. You could tell your customers 'download the app and get a free drink' (or whatever) to encourage downloads, then send push notifications out with your location/position on the map each day.

You'd be amazed how cheaply you can find decent developers on Elance etc if you look.

I doubt Google has any control whatsoever whether your address is commercial or not outside the US. In fact, they'd have to check every legislation for every country....

Just go ahead and use your accountant's address or the address where you load/unload stuff.
