Hi everyone, I?ve several questions regarding the nitty-gritty of linkbuilding strategies for new website. As I just started trying to build my first website, I want to start off on the right foot, so any advices will be appreciated. Thanks.

    Backlink questions
    1) How many backlinks to build to the domain(homepage) and how many to the other pages of the website every day? And if I use web2.0 properties to promote my website, again how many links to build to these properties every day?

2)If I want to target 10 keywords, and build one linkwheel for each keyword, would it be a problem if I link these 10 linkwheels together?

3)What?s your opinion about using one linkwheel for each one of the keywords, versus using only one linkwheel to promote all the keywords?

    Bookmarking questions

1)Should I bookmark all of my website pages and web2.0 properties pages in most of the bookmarking sites? In other words, if there are 30 bookmarking sites, should all of these 20 pages be bookmarked by every one of those 30 bookmarking sites?

    2) How many bookmarks to do everyday? In other words, how often should I bookmark my website pages and the web2.0 properties pages, once a day, or once a few days?

    3) Let?s say that I have 10 pages on my website, and there are 40 bookmarking sites out there, is it going to be a problem if I bookmark one page in 40 bookmarking sites everyday? So after 10 days I would have all 10 pages bookmarked in 40 different bookmarking sites.

Final question is about spinning articles, if I just grab paragraphs from different articles from the internet then combine them into one article without spinning it, would be okay to produce articles for web2.0 properties and directories in such a way? What if I spin it a little bit(using word variations but not rewrite sentences)?

wow there are lots of questions there, will try to answer as best as i can...

    1) How many backlinks to build to the domain(homepage) and how many to the other pages of the website every day? And if I use web2.0 properties to promote my website, again how many links to build to these properties every day?

I just started a new site with a new domain about 50m searches unquote and about 5k with quotes and i built only 1 linkwheel and added about 10 backlinks on the first day. Every other day i submit to 2 backlinks to web2.0 sites for a week. About 3 weeks later, my main site is ranked in page 2 and some of the web2.0sites are in page 1.

2)If I want to target 10 keywords, and build one linkwheel for each keyword, would it be a problem if I link these 10 linkwheels together?

It is better linked together with the same lsi, use google wheel to check the related keywords and link them together with your article writing.

3)What's your opinion about using one linkwheel for each one of the keywords, versus using only one linkwheel to promote all the keywords?

more power if u use one linkwheel for one keyword, more work but more results.

dont have to, just bookmark the page you want to promote.

    2) How many bookmarks to do everyday? In other words, how often should I bookmark my website pages and the web2.0 properties pages, once a day, or once a few days?

    i did 2 bookmarks a day for a week

no problem if you can find the time.

yes not a problem at all, when i did my submission, i was being lazy and did not rewrite my articles for web2.0, i used all the same ones and saw got to 1st page of google fast...

csgcsg2, thanks for your patient to take time to answer these questions, much appreciated.:)

Did you mean 10 backinks in total to the domain?

Did you mean 2 backlinks to each of the web2.0 sites every day?

So it's okay to link 10 linkwheels into a big network as long as they are based on related keywords?

But if using one linkwheel for all the keywords, as more contents get post on those web2.0 sites and more links built to them, wouldn't these sites be more powerful in ranking as they sort of become authority sites?

Did you mean bookmark all the pages of your sites and web2.0 sites in all of those bookmarking sites for twice a day or, bookmark 2 pages in all of those bookmarking sites?

So 40 links to a page per day sitll will be okay? Wouldn't it be too fast..

Ha that sounds nice, I don't like to rewrite articles either, but still I worry about using duplicate content might rank fast at first but also drop fast..

The linkwheel concept is quite simple really. Like csgcsg2 says, they will more likely give you a page 1 presence of web 2.0 sites and move your main site up a bit, but usually not onto page 1. I have over 30 linkwheels in operation and only a few of them have got my main site into the top 5. However, I generally do crowd out the first page with my web 2.0s, and make money from affiliate clicks on those sites or redirections to my main site.

Linkwheels aside, I am beginning to discover that if you want to win with google using your own domain, there is a 6 month lag time. I hope to be proved wrong in this but I suspect that the new sites I promoted aggressively in the past will not return from the depths. My current strategy is to make money short term using web 2.0, and make new sites which will be ready to receive strong linkbuilding in 6 months.

Micallef, did you only use linkwheel to promote your sites? I think it may be essential to use various linkbuilding strategies to get top ranking if the competition level is high.

And I'm not sure about if a new domain really needs 6 months to rank high, I believe it has to do with many factors.

Did you continue to updates or build links to those sites that are being, sandbox? I heard some marketers say keep on updating and promoting them will help them get out of sandbox quickier.
