I am building a Wordpress site with "TheClothesShop" theme and have ran into a problem. As far as I know I've done all of the installation correctly but cannot get a few images to display correctly.

Here is the issue: I am trying to get the main category specific images to appear for the homepage featured slider. I have made the images and tried uploading them but it continues to show no image.

Here is the theme demo (how it's supposed to look):

    Here is how mine looks:

Here is the documentation for this section:
    Code:
How categories display on the Front Page:
The Featured Area on the Front Page was created to display your main categories with a category
specific image that slides out of view when hovered revealing this way a list of subcategories (if
any). If no subcategories exist an alternative category specific image will be shown. The 1.0.2
version added the option to disable the ?slide effect? altogether! (see theme options)
You can have any number of main categories from 1-5 and the Front Page Featured section will
    dynamically adjust!
How do I create category specific images?
? Open the psd folder I provided for you and find the ?Category Specific Images? folder.
Inside this one open the ?For Main Categories? folder. Use one of the psd templates
provided depending on the number of the main categories you have created. eg If you
created only 1 main category then use the mainCat1.psd if you created 2 then use the
mainCat2.psd etc. you get the point.
? Create your images and save each after the corresponding category slug place them inside
    the folder: uploads/cat_imgs/main_cats/ ( see installing.pdf)

The part I have trouble understanding is where to upload the category image and what to name it in order for it to show up correctly on the site.

If you can help me with this post here or PM me with price and estimated time to finish. Thanks.

    Hey,

Looking at the text you posted it looks like the images need to go in:
    uploads/cat_imgs/main_cats/

Alternatively you could check the broken image icon/html in order to see where your site is looking for the images and move them accordingly.
If you can post the theme demo url and maybe pm me your url (I understand if you don't want to send this, I can probably give you a few tips just based on the demo url) ill have a quick look for you.

EDIT: looking at the demo theme it looks like they store the images in wp-content/uploads/

    • Thanks Thanks x 1
