In the beginning I didn't know about the "business" Facebook page, so I created a "person" page and gave the person the name of the business. After getting everyone to use this page, I discovered business Facebook pages and created one of those also. Now I want to transfer all the contacts, friends, etc... over to the business page and basically let the person page die off. Or maybe I should kill it, I don't know. It's a FB page for a Local business.

I'd like some help, please. Any help?

Just use the first page you created, and tell everyone every couple of days for a while to go like the business page. Keep it open and as new like get to where u want it then just leave the old page as is. Let it just die away

You said that the account have friends and contacts, so i'm gonna go ahead and assume that by "a person page" you actually mean a normal facebook user profile, rather than a page categorized in the "Artist, band or public figure" category.

If my previous assumption is correct, then this is what you're looking for, a convertion from facebook profile to page: https://www.facebook.com/help/175644189234902/

Here I'm quoting the previous link just to clear something for you:

Your account's username will become the username for your Page, and the name associated with your personal account will become your Page's name. If you want your Page to have a different name, consider creating a new one."

If you intend to make any change to the name, then I suggest you change it before you convert it, because afterwards, it will no longer be an option.

    Good luck.

Thanks, but this raises even more questions. If I convert the person page to a business page, and there is already a business page with the same name, what happens to it?

If you are an admin of the already existing business page, then you can merge the two pages into one, just bear in mind that all the subscribers and likes from the page with the least likes will be transferred to the page with the more likes, and all posts, photos, and username of the page with the least likes will be deleted, also both pages need to have the exact same name to be able to do the merging.
this link contains everything you need to know about how to do it:

Thats a good solution. Usually after getting more likes in personal FB only we think about making it to business page.

Okay, so I just now tried to do this and discovered that these directions are for merging two pages together, and what I have is a "person" account that has a business page, which I assume is the way it is supposed to be, except for the fact that the person is fictitious and just uses the business name as a personal name.

I'm wondering if the real problem isn't that the "person" and the "page" exist, but that I've used the person's facebook URL in all my local citations when I should have the business page there instead.

Should I just leave everything alone, and simply go around changing my local citations to the business page?
