Need help to reset joomla backend login using xampp

I'm using xampp, installed joomla in localhost but cant login to admin panel. changed databse jos_users password several times but can't succeed
need quick help please. Can anyone help me using Teamviewer software

If Joomla is anything like installing wordpress locally the only thing that tripped me up is that by default your MySQL username is root and your password is blank they both aren't root or blank.

has you change the password with MD5('new password') password?
