Hi all.
as i am total newbie, i want to know that can i use themes, plugins ( themeforest) etc on live site? Is there any legal issues? Any risks ?

Well technically, using any paid software you didn't pay for is illegal. Just use caution and common sense and you should be fine dude.

They are licensed under GPL 2.0, as per my knowledge. So, you can freely modify them as you like if you leave the disclaimer comments written on the top of the scripts (usually on top, but may exist on other parts too).
