I am a newbie to Internet Marketing. I have been using Market Samurai to try and find a Niche. I have attached 2 screen shots and was hoping someone here with more experience can tell me if, according to the numbers, if I might have found a good niche or not.

    thanks for any advise,

You need to check out the SEOLC column, which apparently you haven't even enabled. However, based on the screenshots you posted, I wouldn't even bother with that keyword, unless I had some major, MAJOR firepower at my disposal.

It's hard to say something useful, based on these screens. Try to use SEO competition module to see sites ranked in top 10 and if you can beat them, definitely you need to try, cause amount of traffic looks impressive:)

#1 is extremely hard and probably not worth your time, try the same niche but different long-tail keyword's for example: your kw in california
#2 is hard but very doable, but it's hard to truly tell until you analyze the competition.

Thanks for the help people. I must have overlooked something because I did not see an SEOLC column. I will check again, like I said, this is my first time trying this.

It will be very very difficult to achieve what you have in mind. You should probably re-think your keywords and also go for keywords that have 2-3 words
in them if you want to stand a chance. Also you have said that you are a new user so I think you should tread carefully here.
