    Hello,

Today I just noticed in the google that my website all of a sudden is showing just the title and the URL and all of the sudden description has disappeared,I guess because of that my site traffic has dropped.
Please tell me how to get back the description and what went wrong all of the sudden.
    I am using wordpress.

Check your SEO plugin and see what it is doing. Re input it and see if that fixed it.

    Isn't wordpress wonderful?

I am using wordpress SEO by yoast and since, last 5 months I havnt edited anything in it apart from using it on the pages for title and description.
I really cant understand why all of a sudden the description in google has disappeared, only thing which happened 2 days back was that the hosting had some issue and the site was down for 4-5 hours.

I would assume if the title is there but the description is not, it's because you had a no-index tag on the page but backlinks showed the engine that the pages were there. If you had a no-index tag on, that would seriously affect your traffic as well. I'm sure you didn't do it on purpose but with yoast it's as simple as checking a box and BAM! no index. anyway, sounds like you got it figured out but normally when there isn't a description its cause you told the crawler not to index your page.
