I had recently built a social bookmark site. Its likes digg, reddit, etc where people can share their web content. But, my site is wont to compete digg, reddit, etc. I make it for only my local country user.
So, my question is how to make it get a lot of traffic and have a good pagerank?
    thanks for any answer :)

Use meta tags in the page source, include some content on the main page that explains what the website is with some specific keywords, then pump backlinks like no other.

profile backlinks, blog commenting (scrapebox program can be searched from this site) are probably the two primary ways. Submit articles to directory based on your social bookmark topic. The articles can link back to your site, this is probably ur best bet with backlinks.

Otherwise I suggest you get involved in various underground communities that are relevant with social bookmarking websites or in marketing genre. Then post ur website as an URL in your signature. So everytime you post people will see the URL and hopefully word of mouth spreads about your website.

These are my 2 cents. Hope it helps.

Maybe you should research how other bookmarking sites managed to get their name heard.

Don't ask me, because I don't know, but I kind of doubt it was through organic listings in the search engines! (who knows)

I'm just saying SEO MIGHT not the best platform to launch your site. Have you done your keyword research, and have you come up with anything good and know what terms you want to rank for?

PS. You might just be better off getting more involved in social communities and the like and spreading your site through word of mouth.
