Ive been trying for days with no luck. Now I need some help. The age of this laptop is making it difficult. Im running XP. ccleaner doesnt work on this thing. Eraser doesnt work. I was able to dwnload dban but that wont work because it appears I need an updated version of Adobe Flash Player. I tried updating Adobe but my system wont allow me to. I don't even know if dban is what I need. I just need something that will do a good job of cleaning up everything that have been deleted from the recycling bin.

It feels like Ive exhausted all efforts. I open to doing a teamviewer session if anybody can help in that way. Thanks

What is your initial problem with the laptop? Being on XP i assume its pretty old.
If for instance you have a failing hard drive, cleaning it will do no good. You can scan your HD using a free tool called HD Tune
Don't use the fast scan, it wills can your HD sector by sector to see if it is failing.

Another thing, go into control panel bring up event viewer, Clear all events, really no need to save to a log file. Restart the system. Once it comes all the way back up
Go back to event viewer and check the System events, see if its logging anything related to Disk errors or HD Controller errors.

As far as cleaners go, ONCE YOU DO THE ABOVE FIRST...
    Junkware removal tool
    Rogue Killer
Avast Recuse disk and do a boot time scan
    NPE (Norton Power Eraser)

Just a list of a few to use... Once you know its clean and your HD is not failing

Run disk clean up... then run defraggler on the system
