I have a website, and i added a subscriber plugin which pops up a subscribing window for my visitors. In order to browse the site, they have to either close the window (it will pop-up again when opening another page), or submit their names and addresses.

I have the option to CSV Export my list at anytime.

This is my first time building email list, am i doing this right? Is anything that i need to know?I've read something about verifiyng the emails.how do i do that?

Any good tutorial will help too.

I would not try your method on my websites. I think you are coming across way too strong too early in the sales process. I can see prompting soemone to enter my email list, but to make that pop-up on every page load sounds really annoying. But I could be wrong, I don't know anything about your website.

    Pretty much what dorf says.

You want people to opt in, give away a free gift that holds value to the visitor. If they have to opt in to your list just to view your website they are either going to unsubscribe very quickly or you will have a high unopen rate.

Slow and steady wins the race...

Dont try and get them all in ASAP.

Offer the value, let them want to be a part of it.

E-books are a great offer to a subscriber... after all people want to learn
