I received a message from my AM asking for proof of my traffic. What to do?

That depends on what you told them you were going to do to drive traffic and how you're actually driving traffic.

Did they specify what kind of "proof" they want?

You could always take the position that you're "not comfortable giving away traffic sources" because you "had a bad experience in the past with an account manager at another network stealing traffic generation methods." Think that one through long and hard though...you'll need a big set of balls to pull it off and you'll need to have every response ready to go without hesitation.

This is why it's key to establish a good relationship with you AM(s) right away.

Not sure of what "proof" means. Just re-inerate what you've already said...where you said you were getting leads from....

Have you asked why you are being asked to disclose your private business traffic info?

Some of you guys have alot to learn. But Indeed I lost alot of money until I figured the "CYA" {Cover Your Ass}. There is one reply that will hush it all up depending if you are DMRing. I always DMR and Always have a Non Provable Cover up to follow any request.

Do Not Tell Them PPC or any kind of Paid Advertisement or your hung if you cant photo shop like a Pro.

Well I guess I just hung myself because I said ppc. and it was with c*p*a*l*e*a*d

what is ur current method of traffic?

well is it way different to what you said you are?

=)
ask the proof of traffic ? Let them know you have some friends who run smaller-local social website, and they give you the chance to run your own banners.

Its worked all the times, i never lost a cent :)

No great loss. There are a lot better CPAs to work with than dealing with those guys. Chalk it up to "A lesson learned", and move on.

Just think about how you are going to cover your ass, and have a bullet-proof reply ready when the question gets asked the next time. (And you will be asked again.)

^^^ I second that one

First and foremost I would stop running your traffic to those clowns and get in with some decent networks.

Like NemoTheOne said, building a solid relationship with your AM's or network managers will keep this from happening in the future. Considering you're talking about CPA l e a d you're probably screwed no matter what you say considering I know more people than I can count that have gotten screwed out of their payouts and banned recently even sending WH leads. CPA l e a d are pretty much crooks.

Good luck either way though

Tell them that you never reveal the source of your traffic because the CPA company may steal your campaign.
