My mum owns a company which is described as a "virtual secretary" or "virtual personal assistant" and similar phrases. I've just done some simple tests, and found that her site doesn't appear in the top 10 pages for "Virtual Secretary" or "Virtual Assistant". She has had this company for well over 10 years and has had some good success locally. However, as a birthday present and "thank you" to her, I want to get her website to page one of google.

Which would be the most efficient way to do this? and what are the expected costs?

    Thanks for any help

Thanks for playing, but keep reading.

All you need to do is start a little local SEO. Her domain already has a lot of authority just from the domain age. Perhaps the on-page SEO is not targeting what you think it is, you should also do some market research to find out what local terms are used for people who search for her services, and target them as well.

I do not know what other people would charge, but in her case, unless I find a big surprise in her competition, I would develop a plan of action for you to implement each month for $150, or develop it and implement it both for $300 (USD per month)
