There's a niche that mostly shows Google map details in the search results (like below) as the first thing and then reviews sites.

Do you think I should build a review site for this kind of traffic? Not sure how many will skip maps and scroll down.

What do you think?

Have you done extensive Keyword Research and see the volume
Are there competitors and what are they doing that you can do better

What sort of keywords are you targeting? You don't have to reveal the actual keywords, but give an idea.

For example, a common keyword like "restaurants near me" will tend to show maps at the top of the SERP. For this keyword, users will be happy with what the map shows.

However, there are search queries that don't explicitly mean location related information and still show maps at the top. If this is your case, a lot of users will be happy to scroll down the results page and look for more relevant web pages. I see no reason why you cannot build a review site to target these.

Having said that, make sure you check who you are competing with. For example, a lot of cash-loaded companies occupy the top stops for such queries in my location. If I were you, I would go long-tail.

if you have a pizzeria being in the top 3 of the local search is very interesting

I just did an overall look and there's no competition other than some classified sites. Volum is around 300k PM.

Thanks. It's a kind of "Near me" type of search but not exactly used that word. Like restaurants in las vegas.

Well those are G's internal records so you'd need to actually insert businesses into their index. Not easy.

For something like "restaurants in las vegas", a review site seems like a fine idea to me. Go for it.
But brace yourself for the competition, as it's going to be tough for sure.
