    Home Page:
I have been writing articles for my property management company for the past 2 months. My page rank for primary keyword jumped from 8th page to bottom of 2nd page.

    Please critique my system

    1) I write an article for my main site. It is not a blog. Each article has it's own web page.

    2) I submit the same article to Ezine Articles

    3) I just started trying to submit the same articles to article directories through Article Bot. In the past 7 days, I can't find this article listed on Google for any of these directories.

    4) I started doing some social bookmarking.

    1) How should I improve this?

    2) Do I need to rewrite articles or can I use the same one for all article directories?

    3) What else should I do to increase Page Rank? I have a local property management company so I am not trying to monetize my site.

I could really use some advice. There are so many "experts" trying to sell me stuff. My primary keyword has 491,000 results after putting it in quotes.

    Ok here it goes,

First: Pagerank has nothing to do with what you are talking about. You are talking about what page your site is at not what pagerank it has. Pagerank can be measured through various tools such as google toolbar its effect on what page you are at is not clear and often discussed though.

Second: Do NOT submit the same article to ezine and the same directories. In fact do NOT have it on your website and on ezine or anywhere else either. One of them will be slapped as duplicate content. If its your website, well let's just say you do not want that.

If you want to submit the same content you have to spin it around so that it passes copy scape.

Third: How should you improve this? Take the duplicate articles down fast before you get slapped for them. Also build some normal one way backlinks to your website the articles are good and fine but build more backlinks.

Do heaps of forum signature back links pointing to your articles also.

Someone else just posted an interesting article earlier today about PR trivia. It turns out not only isn't it affecting what page your on, it isn't even named for the page people typically think about. It was named after Larry Page, the guy that created the algorithm to calculate it. :)
