Hi,
I need a .ca domain registering but I'm not a Canadian citizen nor do I reside there.

Is there any way to get around this and register it?

@ years back i faced the same issue and i got a .ca registered and later on it wan denied registration and i had to cancel the domain as i live outside Canada. But maybe things would have changed now!

I registered a .ca domain recently and I'm not a Canadian citizen, so it doesn't matter where you're from.

.CA means that its Canadian domain but its not means that Canadian Citizen can only register it. Any one can register that.

2-3 month ago i registered my .US domain for dating landing page but Im not US Citizen.

So no problem. Just register & go ahead...

Thanks,
that's odd where I tried to register it, it wouldn't let me.

I'll try again.

I've been wondering how to reg .nl's. Changing proxies doesnt work

How did you do that ? fake information ?

It is against CIRA rules to register a domain if you are not a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or a registered company etc .. read more here "sorry I could not post a URL as they are trying to reduce spam here so go google : cira who can register ca domains "

Sure you can lie about that with any registrar and say I am a Canadian citizen but make sure this domains is not very valuable for you because you can lose at any time by CIRA doing a random spot check on domain owners or by someone complaining about your ownership

You probably don't want one. Whois is public and they own it. You do anything they don't like with it and they'll take it back. No notice or appeal. Google around and you'll hear some horror stories. One of the many ways it's not a free country. That's just a myth.
