    Hey Guys,

Im new to this forum but it seems there is alot of smart people so i thought i would ask,

I have a successful Youtube channel that gets 500,000 + views per month(and is rapidly growing). This channel is in the entertainment sector (i have allmost 2000 videos & growing) , and have a wide genre of content and a diverse audience. The content is motocross, car racing,skiing,snowboarding...pretty much every kind of sport you could imagine.

I license some of my content out to TV Networks for there shows, But i would now like to capitalize on my 1000's of subscribers and start selling products. Does anyone know any reputable wholesalers? Any product recommendations?
Or any other advice in general in the direction to take when starting an online product store? I can put an annotation from all of my videos to the store. So i can send 1000's of people to view my store daily.

Thanks for reading & i look forward to your responses.
Feel free to either PM me or drop a comment.
    All advice is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

Based on your appeal to snowboarders and skiers, you may want to see if you could work some kind of deal out with Go Pro. Making first person videos seems incredible popular now and Go Pro seems to have real pricing power in this niche, $300+ for a camera in a case with a mount that probably costs around $50 to manufacture and market.

Have you thought about product placement? A lot of money in this and you don't have any overhead.

MTuser2010 Thanks for the comment, Unfortunatly getting a multi million pound business onboard is quite a tricky thing to do, But i appreciate the input!

    - Kapub All of my youtube content is monetised and runs ad's. Im not quite sure i understand your idea. I can send huge waves of traffic to any products without having to pay for any advertisement. I just either need some great wholesalers or products so i can list them on my website. Any specific profuct ideas for that target market?

    Thanks for the input guys!

    http://www.sunandski.com/Default.asp 4% commission on sales. 37k products.
    http://www.outdoorpros.com/ 7% comission, 37k products
    http://www.altrec.com/ 9% comission, 21k products

All of them are affiliates through shareasale with a datafeed. There are 20 with 1k+ products in the datafeed for sports category. More merchants with less. Setup a store, use the datafeed to populate it.

If you want to do wholesale then you either need your own warehouse+employees to ship stuff out, or a fulfillment center to do that for you. You also need the initial investment to get onboard with some wholesalers (they sometimes only do bulk quantities.)

If you want to dropshipping then you'll need to spend quite a bit of time in the dropshipping section looking for companies that do it. Make sure they're the ones with the product and the one you're going through isnt dropshipping themselves.

-Zapdos Thanks alot for information buddy. I really appreciate it. I would happly either do revenue share via affiliate links or start off by selling roughly 50 products on my online store. The problem is just nailing the niche. My target market is basically people who like sports/entertainment.(i have detailed demographics of my target audience) I shall look at the affiliate links you have provided and get in contact with them.

If theres any more input from anyone who else is experianced, I shall take it onboard and all is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

With that large an audience, I'd look at higher end offerings like coaching programs. Create an affiliate deal with world famous coach so-and-so, capture emails, market to list, get 40% of the ticket.

-Burnett Could you explain in a little more detail about this kind of affiliate deal? and possibly an example from a website that offers this kind of service? Also if anyone else has any more input it would be greatly appreciated.

I don't have an example to show off hand, but it's pretty straight forward.

Step 1, find a guru in your niche(s) that sells seminars, coaching, week long retreats, etc.

Step 2, call guru, explain that you have a big audience interested in the guru's topic, and that you would like to work out a deal. You provide leads to the guru's event/product, and get a commission of x%.

Step 3, direct your traffic to guru's site with appropriate tracking code. (Alternative: create your own sales site).

Step 4, y% of traffic signs up for offer.

    Step 5, profit.

High end products like a $5995 weekend with (insert expert here) are generally a lot more profitable than low end products, even when factoring in that you sell fewer of them.

-GiorgioB Thanks for the message, I Am interested in all products, I cant Pm as I am new on this forum, But by all means send me your email via PM and I can checkout your products/price list. Also for anyone who has other products out there, I don't mind listing your products on my site, then taking a commission on the sales, So the product stays with you, you send it out...then I take a small cut for making the sale. That's If anyone is interested in that kind of arrangement. Thanks
