I went to update my web agency today and I have not logged in for about 2 weeks, today i noticed I have a Our website is under construction and a countdown. I was logged out of my cpanel and my hosting at first, I managed to get hold of my hosting and now I am back in.
I am looking through cpanel to find this index.html but not showing and even I removed wordpress but still showing. I have inspect page to see if I can see where it is but its not showing me the same options as I have on Cpanel, What can i do thanks

Speak to your hosting company's support team. They'll be able to help and get it sorted quickly.

Ultimately that's your call. I use SiteGround and, within reason, they solve any problems I'm having around my hosting.

You will have same problem on every host, that's not their job. You will need to make script that will block all bad "spiders" that access your page. Search on google how to block Web Scapping

    One of the solutions :

    Turn on cloudflare protection
Show captcha before someone access your page
As i said create script that will allow only good "spiders" to access your page like google, bing etc.
Manualy block all ip adress that use much more bandwith than normal visitors.
For more solutions search on google.

Or you just have same themplate and page title and description like some other website so google index that page like yours.

They always find out a way how to bypass every protection. Nowadays they use luminati proxy so it's nearly impossible to block website scraping

The no one can change your website unless your channel or wp password is bad/shit.

the only other way is using null templates or plugins with hidden code, to explore your database.

you got hacked from crap password settings or got hacked from a doggy form and database password got changed or was a null plugin with code to change password info.

    that it.

any uploading or login password should be properly set up securely.

understanding security for website forms and login passwords will help you a lot, use youtube video to understand.

hope you all the best, it not your host fault they expect you to keep everything secure and safe .

I say it was a dodgy plug in, I will be a lot more careful in future and scan all themes before i go put them up on anywhere. I know its not my hosts fault I just would like to know how do i get rid of the landing page. I have paid in full for hosting for a year and was quite good and fast.
