I have a blog that uses a script to pull articles and videos automatically.
The content pulled does have lots of affiliate links and other blogs promoting
stuff using the same keywords as I use.

How would I keep visitors on my blog and not follow these links? Having such specific content is great for Quality Score using ppc but not good for organic traffic.

What I want to achieve is have visitors that look at affiliate products I am promoting only. The script works great but content is not exclusive to my blog.

    Any ideas?

Have you considered using a cookie stuffing script to cookie the visitors for lots of related products, so that if they do go away from you, you could still get commissions?

    Have not considered cs.
So I would have to promote the exact same product then?

Don't you know, you can't talk about CSing outside the "sacred" section? I'm still trying working on getting accepted by the CS section gods!!

cookie stuffing wouldn't work so don't get excited.

A much easier fix would be to write a script or amend the one you have to get rid of links in the articles. Doesn't seem like it'd be too hard. like if there's an http you have your script delete it along with everything after it (or change it to your own aff link) and you could convert everything to plain text to get rid of the html links.

watermarked videos are harder. I guess you could make it so that the bottom part of the video (where most watermarks are) is hidden by a box that looks like a continuation of your background.

The easiest way to prevent people from clicking off your site is if they're no links for them to click.

The only way to keep someone from following a link is to not have one. You can write a script to remove all the links, but it might make the content read a little weird.

Either remove all the links in the article, or else make all the links open in a new window like as in popups. that way visitors wouldn't leave your site but this is not good if they have popup blockers.
