hello people good day to yall well lately i have been building my porn website and am new to the adult industry and i was stuck in this age verification thing first off i was using a popup age verification but it came to my notice that its really not working that way anymore that i need to build a strong age verification system to verify visitors age am asking what if i block visitors from specific country where this laws are been make made from acessing the website how will that look? and again how will i know about this country laws because am not in the usa amin africa i was now planning to make it only acessible in africa am just confused at this point

If you feel confused and unsure about the rules, it’s better to slow down and fix age checks first than rush and risk big trouble later.
 
Age verification is a serious concern. Many countries are strict about it. You should fix it first instead of appealing when they block your site.
 
what cms is your website based on?

Just ask chatgpt regarding the error that you are getting in your website. if it's wordpress, it won't be hard to get the solution with chatgpt.

This is the same problem like GDPR. You don't have to really care if you are not in the EU/USA.

To my knowledge age verification laws only exists in USA. You can just block your website from US ips anyways if you are targeting Africa and most people in the states are already using VPNs for this.

Even Pornhub has banned US ips :D. If the biggest adult site in the world can do it so can you.

Can’t you just use the same method that other adult websites use? For example, Pornhub only asks whether you are 18 or not. If you make the website too hard to access, no one will want to use it and they will just migrate to other platforms. Make it effective, but not too complicated. Or just block the countries with strict rules

Absolutely true. And different regions have different rules. Some allow for facial age estimation, others require proof of age through government ID checks. I wrote my system with that in mind. You can define regions such as US-TX or GB and the type of verification method required for each region. Geo data is provided by Cloudflare headers.
