OK, recently I found this *original *authentic Apple Iphone suuppplier / dropshipper who's willing to take paypal (as claimed he's a verified PayPal member) & escrow...and the iphones are quite affordable, (but there's a MOQ, which I think is quite acceptable as it's not that much ).

Now, can one get screwed EVEN WHEN the supplier / dropshipper is willing to take both, paypal & escrow, optional.

*claimed by seller to be authentic and genuine and comes wth international warranty, as he supplies to big voulumes order as well. He did mentioned PP & escrow is for order below 1k ( and I din't asked what he takes for over 1k coz i'm no where near thaere anyway).

    So any thoughts guys?

Has anyone who've used PayPal and got scammed but not able to recover their losses b4? { coz as far as my experience go, being scammed a few times, I've always been able to get my $$ back that's why I'm PP verified for over 4 yrs now :) }. Pls share if u have, so we know how they go about srewing PP / esrow anyway....lol

yes it was through Paypal . These people will tell you anything to get your money. I wouldn't chance it. Real iphones are hard to come by for us average Joes. This guy talks like he has a factory full of them. Sounds to good to be true. Keep your money

Escrow? Look up the company. Make sure that you've got the right variation of spelling in its domain name as well. Dig up as much as you can regarding that company before you do any business with this seller. Better to be safe than sorry.

Do whatever you can to cover your ass if this is really what you want to get into. Does he sell SIM cards too? Maybe get one or two of these via Paypal to test. Also, I agree with getting an escrow company. I have been saved by this more than once. See if he can send something cheap as well via postal svc. Check to see if addresses match up. Get a phone number and call it. Does this guy write in english, if so he probably speaks it too. Get a 10 minute phone card and give him a call. Does he have a website? Check the thawte certificate or other SSL cert. Whois his domain etc etc. Do an international phone lookup on the phone number. Do everything. If something doesn't add up, tell him you need explanation. If his explanation sounds fishy, tell him to fuck off and hold on to your cash. Ask him to fax you something etc etc. Be suspicious and don't be lazy. It's your money, don't let him steal it. As far as fake websites go, just use escrow dot com, they're legit.

Well, guys tahnks for all the good advice...I tried a few tactics to see if he's real...like I said previously...disappeared faster than Road Runner. So it's official..he's a scam.
But at least my money's still in the pocket.

hi i only use paypal. But I did have a guy from china selling hi dollar video stuff and he ask me to pay using the gift option on paypal. that way there is no record of them selling any item to you. please do not do this you will not get your money back or any product. I didnt fall for this but i did call paypal and ask about it. Thats what they told me alot of china people try this because paypal is very very strick and most are not legit sellers so be very careful too many scammers..:D

Tell him you'll only order from him if he will do escrow through escrow.com. Get a free account and tell him you want at least 3 days after delivery to inspect the phones. This way, you pay for the phones first and the money is held in escrow. He sends the phones, then you can inspect them to make sure they are real and exactly like he says they are. Once you approve of the phones, then escrow will release him his money. If you don't approve the phones(if they are clones, incorrect model, or used), then you can return the phones and escrow will return your money. That is a pretty safe way to do business with someone who sounds too good to be true.

I like the idea of ordering through an escrow service. Everyone is protected that way, and there is no risk. Too many shady people out there!
