    Hey,

As you have read the title, you can assume I am in a sticky situation, also it's not just a few thousand views, its in the 100's of thousands. So far a total of 860,000 shite 1-3 second views from Facebook as the referrer and counting. Mainly it has been my videos that are on first page for my keyword phrase of about 150,000 global monthly searches in YouTube.

I am seeking advice on how to defend myself against such actions by my competition, I all ready know you can't prevent it from happening but can you surely contact YouTube and notify them that your channel is being view bombed by the competition. To show YouTube that you are not trying to game the system? That I am a victim of someones greedy actions.

    My question to you as the reader of this thread is;

    1. If their is a form I can complete and send to YouTube where can I find it? ( I have all ready tried to find one, but it's all very vague and mainly about account access)

    2. Would retention views be a last resort to save my channel?

or... shall I just get ready to upload to a new channel and begin all over again?

Any advice will be appreciated, as of right now I am lost for what to do. I have attempted in getting in contact with YouTube and was brushed off as if to say I tried to game them and was now having second thoughts.

    Thanks in advance!

    Regards Purewisdom

Nope sorry unfortunately it's all computer based views as my analytics are showing...

    Not looking good so far.

Thanks though I had totally forgot about that option.

Just buy a bunch of high retention views, then buy some good looking comments + likes.

Use this as a cheaper way to keep your views up and make your channel more aged/awesome in YouTube's eyes.

As long as you have a good view diversity + lots of comments/subs/etc coming in your safe.

I know this from previous experience, just ride the wave, your competitor will run out of money before long.

I know for a fact that if you have a wide view diversity YouTube tends to allow your video to live longer.

I've split tested this with 3 different type of view providers and I dropped 50k views from each service to its own video.

view provider 1 - ABC-Video 1 - 50k views of only high retention mobile views = banned in a week

    view provider 2 - CBA-Video 2 - 50k views of low retention fb views = banned in 2 days

    view provider 3 - BAC-Video 3 - 50k views of high retention facebook views = banned in 6 days

view provider 1 & 2 & 3 - 123-Video 4 - 50k views of each (150k views total roughly) (high and low fb retention views, and high retention mobile views) = not banned as of today, its been 3 weeks now. Ranked for a highly competitive keyword with 11million other results.

Each of the tested videos were uploaded on their own gmail accounts/channels/double yt phone verified accounts made by hand myself.

    Thanks for the amazing feedback!

I have experienced similar results myself. How ever if I were to start sending high retention views to the bombed videos with low retention views, I have a feeling it will be too little too late.

So by your estimations I should find out in the next 3-4 days whether if the videos will be removed or my channel being taken down.

If you send the views now it might balance things out at least a little. I think they look at view diversity when people start flagging your videos and thats when they ban/remove your video/channel.

So you would say high retention views with lets say referrers from Twitter/Facebook etc with a slice of traffic coming from each referrer to one video?

If the video content is not contraband, the video may not get removed that quickly. Youtube does its regular scanning and then it also does periodic housecleaning. When and how will always be a mystery. If you remember, the last major housecleaning was in December 2012 - almost everybody I knew had videos removed during that sweep.

Don't bother trying to talk to Youtube, they will not listen. If you do get your video removed, there is an appeal process and you can make your plea then but in advance of that, don't bother.

Youtubez's view diversity idea is the best one. It's not too late, just do it. If you move Channels, the trolls will find you again. Just fight back with diverse views. Your competitor is spending a lot of money to send views to you so he will eventually get tired.

Pretty much what he said wraps it all up, hopefully your videos don't get removed.

Its actually pretty funny talking about the 2012 cleanup, they never even messed with any of my videos. I hope they do it again soon, its getting quite crowded in a lot of niches. ;)

All the best man, feel free to ask any more questions you guys may have.

Private the videos and then later put them back up. Contact youtube or some support in the meantime while they're privated. Good luck mate

Thanks for the advice, I will take it on board and asses my situation from afar.

Now does anyone else have anything else to contribute? Anything I should be looking for specifically in my analytics or anomalies?

    Any thoughts?

Yep I could do that, but the setback financially with conversions would be drastic.

Thanks I will use that technique as a last resort.
