Need advaice

    Hello all,
    after a theme update, and edit some titles and des tags except the index page i lost 20 position.
    i knew after such update i will lose this positions
    but now i am building new links but never rich my old ranking what i need is any tool to check with it duplicate content and tags as well a html errors
    which html errors can be fact on ranking

    if you lost your rankings due to theme change , check your on page seo of the new theme. It's highly probable you lost your rankings due to that , if other factors were unchanged.

    I think he means if page titles are properly formatted and displayed to enhance your SEO, description tags present, etc

    why not change back to the original desc, title n etc? see what happen after that

    Are you sure you didn't change your URL structure? If your content remained the same, there is no reason why you should have lost rankings. It could also be from other things as well such as URLs embedded in your theme or perhaps the navigation of your site changed drastically.

    Shawn Thanks for your answer i had done every thing possiple fixed all html errors some css errors
    what else could be the problem

    Is the site in Webmaster Tools? There is an option in the menu to check errors.

    I agree you should check webmaster tools to see what Google thinks. Then you may just have to wait for them to re-index if urls got changed without creating 301 re-directs

    I have to disagree with this. Theme bloat can cause this when you move from an SEO friendly theme to a less well designed one.
