I am getting 40,000 hits a day and my present host can't handle it. Does anyone have any suggestions of a good VPS at a reasonable price? Must have WHM/Cpanel.

    Home Page:
If you want a quality managed VPS with cPanel/WHM, you should look at WiredTree or LiquidWeb.

I hit enter to fast there - meant to say get the upgrade if you decide to go dedicated.

honestly, you cant go wrong - i got lucky and found a good vps first time of looking

I have not had downtime(that i noticed) in the 3 months ive been with them, it seems the vps like resetting nitself about once in ten days which is a pain but at least no downtime

My sites don't get near 40,000 hits a day, but kn0wnhost's VPS plan has been working well for me.

I 1st tried InM0tion hosting because I saw them as #1 on a review site, but had too many problems.

Kn0wnhost has 'hybrid' plans which may be what you'd need.

They seem to have some great prices but have you ever done business with this company? I guess at only $5.99 I could just write it off if it later turns out to be junk.

My reco: I would not buy a VPS but a managed dedi. If you have bad luck - regardless which company - you could have neighbours with high IO-wait. This is AFAIK not quotable and can happen with every VPS.

I use futurehosting.biz and swear by them. They're not the cheapest, but having been with 5 or 6 different providers these are by the far the best that i have used. Support is second to none and there's been little downtime in about a year of service.

WiredTree is great. Nice prices + it's managed so you don't need to worry about anything. :)

Windows or UNIX, what's your budget.

With VPS's you get what you pay for.

As someone else has suggested, take a look at Web Hosting Talks forum, find a host you like the look of and send them a email asking a few random hosting questions. The response you receive and the time it takes is a very good indication of how good they are.

    Try servint.com

I've had up to 300k hits per day on their base VPS Package ($50 mos) without any problems. Cpanel, 24/7 support etc.
