OK, I love SEO Quake because when I do a Google Search it automatically shows me all the SEO info I need on each site displayed. Only problem is, sending so many automated queries to Google causes me to get the "We are blocking you because of automated queries" slap pretty often.

So I dug through the options, found that you can set it all to display as needed when you click on it. That stops the automated queries slap, but is a MAJOR pain in the ass. I do a search, then have to click on every single stat I want displayed and this takes forever.

So my question is this, does anyone know how to get it to display only certain items on page load? I really just want to know PR, backlinks and domain age. Maybe a few others. Can I get it to display those only every time I do a google search, therefore reducing the number of automated queries?

If not does anyone know of another tool/plugin that will display info on the google search screen itself, but not get slapped so often?

Thanks!

tools.seobook.com has the tools you need. There are 3 tools - seo tool bar, seo for firefox, and rank checker. The seo for firefox will do the same as seo quake, but I've never had Google temp ban me. I have it set with no delay to auto pull the PR, yahoo links and yahoo page links. It will also let you download all the search results in a csv file.

Dont turn SEOQuake on until you are on the page you want to scout.

Just a thought.

man so thats why i get that message I thought I had a virus or adware running in the background

Set seoquake to load parameters "by request" instead of "on load". Also you can try adding a parameter request delay of 1-2 seconds. I've been using these settings and haven't seen the sorry page in more than a year

Yes, agree - just turn on "parameters on request"

I also tend to turn off the auto parameter load for Yahoo as well, cos it really messes with the page load speed when using siteexplorer (which is the default backlink checker in Market Samurai, which I use)

Thanks for all the responses. I have it set to on request as I said in the original post, but it's a pain in the ass.

LiquidX - that's what I thought at first too! Then it happened on multiple computers so I dug further and found it was SEO quake.

xhpdx - i'm going to try that delay! Thanks!

And truth be told, through all this research I found Market Samurai again, and man, I don't think I'm even going to look back. This thing has everything I need. I tell you, I'm furious I didn't use this a year ago when I downloaded it. Never even looked at it. Would have saved me THOUSANDS of hours!

Live and learn I suppose.

Thanks again!

Hi John,

Seo quake is a really seo tool that you will not be able to let down if you are serious about seo. If you use it with the donofollow plugin for firefox, it's like gold into your bank account.

I face the same problem and solve it. 2 things to do:

1) Time delay
2) Double click on the icon. go to parameters and uncheck the parameters you do not want and that the tool gives you.

Hope that helps you.

Which Plugin is that? Could you post a link?

I will be trying those tips shortly. Thanks!
