Need a phone app that I can use

I do not have the money to pay for my phone bill. The phone company is cutting off my bill tomorrow. I owe $200+


But I don’t want to go without a phone. What apps do you suggest? I want an app for iPhones iOS where I can connect the number I already have and text/call through the app as well as receive messages and calls.


I MUST be able to use the number I have now!!!!


It must work with Canadian numbers!


They can be paid but I’m not looking for anything expensive. Thanks.

google voice is most popular one
sideline is another big one
when you search these on the play store, look at suggested apps, you'll find dozens that do the same thing
they will give u a new number u can sms/call with

The only thing I can think of is google voice.

I don't believe you'll be able to use your same phone number because the only apps that use your own phone number probably need your number to be valid. If you're getting cut off, I'm guessing your account is getting closed, which means your number is now in void.

I'd recommend finding a company online that will transfer your number over the phone before your services are shut off. Not sure if you'll get much at this hour, but try and if no luck, be out the door/on the phone by opening time tomorrow like 7/8am. Transfers are free I believe (if you're on contract, your bill will then be sent to you in full for any balance owing for phone that's expected to be paid that month) I'm with koodo now & I didn't have to pay Koodo to transfer from virgin (or virgin, other than phone owing balance)

Also, look into if you're able to change numbers on pay as you go phones, those have the cheapest plans and don't require credit check.

TextNow is a service I've used for multiple numbers in the past. It allows you phone calls, as well.
