I've been using comcast all my life so I am really an idiot when it comes to internet service providers.

One thing I've noticed about comcast, they're good during the day, but their internet goes to shit after 8-9pm at night. Youtube videos don't load well, and everything slows down to a turtle pace. However, I've been grandfathered in on $30/month.... which I feel like is an ok deal for DSL internet.

Anyway, it doesn't matter if it's a "good deal" because internet is getting disconnected tomorrow and I will not be able to work or access BHW.

I have to make a quick decision (have about 16 hours before internet goes), I did a zipcode check in my area and it seems my only choices are:

Verizon - $24.99 / month for 1 yr plus taxes & fess. Speeds from "5 to 1 Mbps". Verizon home phone required (I do not need verizon home phone)

Verizon - $34.99 / month for 1 yr plus taxes & fess. Three tier speedsL 1.1 - 3MB, 3.1-7 MB, 7.1 - 15 MBPS. Verizon home phone required again (what the fuck I don't need phone?)

At&t - $19.95 / month for 12 months with qualifying service. 1 yr term requires. Other charges apply

Frontier - $19.99 / month. AGAIN "with qualifying phone service".

Century Link - $19.95 / month - Speeds up to 10 MB when you bundle unlimited nationwide calling. 3 years. 1 price. 0 contract.

I'd REALLY like to hear from you guys what you're using. Right now, I've tested my service and it says my speed is 9.43 MBPS. It seems like Verizon is actually not a bad deal @ $35.99 month for a max of 15 MBPS (I have no idea what "3 tier speeds" means). I'd basically be paying $5 month more for 5 MB more / month?

Then there is At&t, Frontier, Century Link.... or..... do I just stick with Comcast? I mean, I've heard so many people say "comcast internet sucks" but I want to know WHAT you guys are using in place of comcast?

As far as budget goes, I'd say anywhere between $20-$50 / month is good. I just want to know I'm using a solid ISP at the best possible price.

Any advice you guys have I'd really appreciate it!!!

    thanks - Rob
