Natural linking for smallish blogs

I've been trying to put together a daily linking plan for my smaller, newly created blogs. Do you think something like this would work well? Could I use more links per day, should I use less?

Monday - Get 2 links
Tuesday - Get 5 links
Wednesday - get no links
Thrusday - get 8 links
Friday -get 3 links
Saturday get no links
Sunday- get 3 links

I've got plenty of ways to get links, and I've read a few guides about keeping linking natural but I think its very site dependent. For example, if you launch a retail megasite your more likely to generate links at an alarming pace then if you launch a local news site or in my case, a blog.
