Hello guys, I am always having a hard time with all these methods and I am tired of making peanuts so I decided that maybe cold calling could work because it has a lot less competition because few foreigners can do it effectively as opposed to emailing. I posted a short video on youtube for you to evaluate my accent and to maybe tell me how I could improve. This is not my "best english voice" I said it normally just like I would when talking to a potential client. If you have any suggestions on how I could improve please feel free to tell me or criticise me. Of course, the video is just an example and I am not using my real name but I would provide a similar service.

    here is the video:

    Thank you, Bekti:)

Put more passion into it and it will be great. You have to sound like you actually believe that you are giving something valuable.

Thank you! I definitely will! What about the accent do you think I sound really foreign? I know it's not really bad but still. And also, maybe you have had some knowledge about cold calling anything I should know?

    Cheers, Bekti!:)

You seem to put the emphasis on random words. Try to find the ones that do need emphasis and cut it from the rest. Your speech should flow. Right now it's bouncing up and down due to wrong emphasis. Also, try including some short pauses.

As for the cold calling, I do not have experience, but I imagine it is the same as with doing voice-overs. Just try to sound warm and natural. That is ten times better than trying hard to be convincing

Your English is good, but I noticed many non-native speakers make grammatical errors when they speak or write. Your video was short, so I did not notice any errors where grammar is concerned, but I would advise you to make sure you are strong in that area. I have no other advice since others have said things I might have suggested already.

Thank you for your suggestions guys! I am from eastern Europe actually and not from India. I do believe that I shouldn't have any problems with grammar when speaking. It is going to be hard but my thinking is that I have got nothing to lose and everything to gain by trying and giving it my all. Do any of you think that I should invest in a good microphone?

    Sincerely, Bekti:)

Yes, you definitely should invest in a microphone. You do not need to get something expensive, there are quite a few options for around $50-100, like the Blue Snowball or the Blue Yeti.

Also, you should find a more insulated room to prevent reverb.
