MyBlogLog xploit

i saw a lot of unclaimed accounts [AT] MyBlogLog ... so there is no problem to claim each blog as yours ...

any ideas what u could do with those unclaimed blogs?

hmm never been there before, is it like a myspace for blogs? Taking over the accounts with a spoof email account? hm. I suppose you could utilize them somehow.

don't know about that one but for now i'm trying to spam it manually

Interesting concept though about claiming abandonned blogs.

Not sure, but I found this in their Help section:

Someone Else Has Claimed My Blog/Site

Sometimes fans create 'fan communities' for blogs or sites that they enjoy. As well, sometimes people create communities around sites that do not belong to them as a way of profiting off of the blog's reputation online.

If you are a blog owner and you want to claim ownership of your blog that is currently claimed by another, please contact us to assert your claim. There are two ways to prove that you are the owner of a blog.

1. Email us from your blog's domain.
2. Write an assertion of your claim on a page on your site and send us the url. This can be removed as soon as we take action on your claim.

Here's an idea that doesn't involve jacking someone elses blog:

Set up MyBlogLog account using the primary keyword phrase you're trying to rank for (as the name of your community) in the search engines and add your same keyword phrase optimized sites, blogs, Squidoo lens, etc. to your profile. All you need to set up a MyBlogLog account is a Yahoo! ID. If you do it right, your keyword named community linked to your site will get indexed pretty quickly by Google and might rank ahead of your site in the SERPs.

For the record, this isn't my idea. I applied it from the Conversation Domination pre-sell videos. The videos are case studies Howie did on using different web 2.0 sites to dominate Google. Some of the sites in these case studies will be familiar and others won't. IMO it's pretty good.
