Hey everyone, i made a post on here not too long ago about seo for youtube. Mainly about the Tags, keywords, title, description; you know ranking videos and what not.
    alittle info about myself,
started youtube maybe 4 years ago? I am in the 30-60k range of subs all grown organically, as I've just joined bhw this year and was introduced to the world of BHW and BHMethods.
Before this I was just doing everything manually, the tedious way; making accounts on all social media platforms and growing them through word of mouth, organically.
I.E. twitter, facebook,ig, tumblr and I've grown to what i have now.

The difference from before and now is that I have knowledge on how to rank and what I need to,
So on average my videos would get 3-4k views after lets say 2 weeks and it'll stagnate thats organic, but I've been messing around with seo and all that, and I buy HR views to go along with it when it needs another boost.

I realize that my channel does not have a specific nicche, its more of a comedy, skit, vlog, kinda of deal. Its not specific like Gaming, or Fitness, etc.
So its hard to decide how and what to rank your channel.
    but content is easy,
I use google keyword planner now. I type in the keyword that my video would be about and see how many searches it gets per month, and i pick the relevant ones and also i input other terms that would mean the same thing, also i get specific with the title, I.e i don't put cars review, id would put Lambo gellardo review, etc.
I also try and make content that has the possibility to go viral, videos that people can relate too.
So for my goals I want to be a combination of, Swoozie, Jacksgap, and Caseyneistat, those are my fav youtubers who i strive to be.

I started one of my videos 4 days ago,
    it has
    3,268 views
    46 comments without me replying
I ranked 2-3 of my tags in the top 1-17 spots
    for medium to low searches.
I plan on releasing the second part of the video soon
and i try not to make my videos over 5-6 mins generally

I will keep everyone updated as much as possible
Also if you have any feedback or ideas on how to rank better, get more views, get more subs, get more engagement Please share below!

not much change today, here are the stats for the past 4 days for my channel. I also went back to change all the keywords and tags using keyword planner, and some of the keywords rank 1-17 in low to medium competition keywords. I also changed description for a few to try and get more keyword plugs into them. I am also looking into reddit upvote services, trying to find a legit service. I figure its better then retweets because retweets might be booted followers instead of real ones, with reddit if you get into a sub niche big enough and upvotes work then you would be golden. So we will see.
Again feel free to add any details or suggestions or even your own thoughts on how I should go about growing and expanding.
Again my channel is more of a rant type of channel.

    Hello Everyone,
Sorry Ive been away for a little bit,
I think I killed my channels growth. youtube probably stopped promoting me or something.
    Heres the scoop:
4 months ago i started seeing growth, i went from 10-25 daily subs to 40-55 daily subs almost a 100% increase right, then life hit me hard, i had family issues. and had to work 7 days a week and 11 hrs each day, so i didnt make videos for like 2-3 months and i fell off. And the engagement and everything dropped down to 10-18 now. Im slowly trying to release weekly vids constantly again, which i think is the most important part, A big youtuber once gave me some advice, and it was "MAKE CONTENT THAT SWING FOR IT" meaning make content that everyone wants to watch, that have the "viralability" and it stuck wit me this whole time. I could use all the black hat methods and white hat methods and get nowhere if my content is just me sitting in my chair doing nothing.

Now I dont know about you guys but im not doing youtube for eCommerce, to sell or push product, I want to create my own brand, my own channel for me. Now if that is what some of you are looking for then i welcome you to continue to follow my journey.
Ive been doing this for a few years now the complete noob way: promoting on other social media platforms and word of mouth and we all know this way is so tedious and tiring and often times not fruitful at all. But ive manage to get myself into the mid **,***k subs area. Only a few months ago i found out about bhw and all it has to offer.
I will say this site is amazing, yeah there are always those rotten eggs who try to scam ppl and stuff but for the most part if youre smart this site has amazing people and information. Ive learned alot in these past few months.

Ive actually learned about seo, and how to use it properly, ive made over 280 videos on my channel but i went back and unlisted a bunch of them, and i narrowed it down to 160 videos on public and i went back and REDID ALL of the seo, tags, description, titles, etc, of every video i have public.
Now most of them have anywhere between 1-4 keywords or tags that are ranked between number 1 to number 17. so thats impressive and while it might take time for those seeds to grow i am still making content that has the ability to be share. Content that ppl can relate too. With all that being said and done, if you read all that is above i just want to say thank you for reading and supporting. I will continue to update this as often as i can with any result.

Ok say here are the update stats.
It does from top to bottom as
    SUBS for the day
    Views for the day
    Thu
    +11
    +1,526

    Fri
    +15
    --

    Sat
    +25
    +3,529

    Sun
    +12
    +3,203

    Mon
    +14
    +2,162

    Tue
    +19
    +2,039

Thank you all for checking back.

Hi everyone not much has changed,
I just reached another 1k followers.
As for videos I still haven't found the key yet.

The method I'm using is releasing a video and after the initial views from users come in I buy 1k hr views to boost it and I continue to do this the next day n so forth.
I'm not sure if buying 1k views each day is better than buying let's say 5k-10k views from the start.
Keep in mind that I do not want to set off any signals by YouTube n get my channel banned or hit.
But I will experiment and buy 2k-4K in the beginning instead of 1k everyday.

Will report back and let u all know how it goes.

From what I can see, it is true that you are making progress in your area of specialization. It is therefore a plan that can bear fruits if well managed. I do not personally run Youtube channels but what I know is that the likes and the views play a major role in the ranking of the videos on the platform. I have done SEO for some time now and therefore understands what it takes. Keep moving forward and make as stay motivated through the posts.

    Thanks guys for the support!
I am working on finding the right numbers of hr views I need to get it going. I have a lot of dead subs,
my theory is if YouTube sees that The video I just upload is a hit or some what viral then they it shows up on the timelines of those subs that don't engage with me anymore.
    I'm uploading constitently every week.
Recently I started to see my numbers go up again.
The last month I had daily subs of 10-15 this past few days the subs were in the 20-30s! It's steady gaining speed n momentum. Not to mention I have a few video ideas lined up that may have a chance to hit a big view count.
Wish me luck! I will report back.

Okay so today I did something big! Just testing it though.
I bought 3,000 HR views for 11 of my videos, and i did seo tag and title optimization on them.
Hopefully the 3,000 hr views can get them to rank higher and get them on the related videos more!
    we will see what happens!

So i checked today on my videos that i bought HR views for, but the retention rate was only 50-60% and it drops off to 5-10% at the end of the videos. Videos are mainly 3-6 mins long. I emailed the people i bought the hr views from to see whats going on and if i can get an answer because it was to my understand the HR views would be 70-85% throughout the entire video at least to my understanding.
However I can say that my video is ranking better for tags, I think. I didn't really write down the rankings for the Tags before and after so thats my bad. LOL
But for the next patch I will be writing down every little detail from tag rankings to title keywords and everything. before and after so subscribe to the thread and keep on the look out! and if this is helpful or interesting remember share the love.

hi jjgg99, i have read your journey and very interested in yours. I started a youtube channel, and i have a problem when ranking my keyword, my keyword is 2 or 4 words. The search volume is about 20k-30k/month, competion is LOW. But i can't even rank on page 2, almost of my videos doesn't rank in my target keyword.
    for example:
i want to rank "do choi tre em", but in my language, for exactly proper writing is "đồ chơi trẻ em". And i write my title something like "Đồ chơi trẻ em.......", my first tag is "đồ chơi trẻ em" and "do choi tre em", and the result is...unrank.
It will be great if you can guide me about SEO a little, thank you very much

I may be new to SEO but what I've learned and seen work on my videos is if you put the main keyword on the title and first 3 sentences on your description then it will definitely help. If you want to rank easier, you can find BHW sellers who offer HR views for less than a dollar per thousand and it will increase your videos higher on the search and will possibly give you organic viewers if the search volume for your niche is medium to high.

hey what DM3 says is true, you have to have everything cohesive, meaning the title has to have your key word, your description also and your Tags.
Another thing you can do is search that phrase or words in youtube and see which results come up on the first page and see how many views they have and see if its even beatable, if not try for a lower searched volume, anything 10k and higher is hard to rank, try 9k and lower keywords youll do better with those.

Also as far as HR views go, I am still playing around with it,
Idk what happened the last 2 days but youtube I guess cleaned out some dead accounts or subs and i lost 30 subs. which isn't much but i never bought subs or anything. But today seems to be doing well.
I mentioned before that I bought 33k worth of HR views and i would see how they worked out but problem was i didn't record the before and after, thus i have nothing to go on, however i do no that the retention rate wasn't 70%+ it was more of a 60% retention rate on 3-6min videos.
Today i am thinking about experimenting again, buying 2-3k views for 3 videos and recording the before results and after. Will get back to you all.

    Btw SAFETY MEASURES
I am turning off all monetization and ads while i am running these experiment.
I only pump views into videos that have good ratios, meaning I do not pump HR views to videos who only have 30 comments and 140 likes. The numbers has to be higher and more engaging.
I share on all social media networks even reddit, although i have not looked into reddit up vote services just yet. But sharing on social media platforms gets it real engagement and real social proofing.
All this mixed into buying HR views will give it a more legitimate feel to youtube.

SO with that being said what am i doing differently lately?
Aside from polishing my SEO practices on the videos and getting HR views to rank them for keywords.
I realize that more isn't always better, Meaning if you have a channel with 300 videos and only 10% of those videos have over 5k views lets say and the rest have 100-900 views thats bad. I would rather unlist or delete the 60-90% of the videos that doesn't have good metrics or stats this gives your channel more of a social proof you see what I'm saying?
If you go to a channel and all the videos have high views and engagement you'd be more likely to watch and stay because you want to see whats so good.
where as if u see videos with only 400-900 views you might just think of some videos got lucky this guy isn't all that good.
All together i think I have maybe 300ish videos I've made, but I've gotten rid of 50% of those bad video stats.
Although they were organic they didn't get me any exposure.

Now there is a argument when I talk to bigger youtubers about this. Because I did not do proper SEO tactics nor did i know what they were the videos never got traffic from organic search results, SO the argument is that the more you have the more ground you cover,
think about it as You are trying to sell a house and growing a garden, you have roses=good video with good stats and then you have bushes= bad video stats.
You plan all the roses and your garden looks beautiful, but problem is you still have half the garden left to plant stuff, now you can plant the bushes or just leave it and plant more roses later? which is a better option to have half a empty garden of roses or have a full garden with roses and bushes.

I hope I didn't confuse all of you with that analogy, what I'm trying to say is the argument was if I take those videos with less views and do proper seo on them they might rank for low search Keywords/tags and id get more exposure and my channel get more subs.
MY counter argument was the videos didn't get views because they weren't good, and even if i cover more ground with boring videos it doesn't necessarily mean more subs, it can potentially mean less subs because the videos would turn them away.

Thats the update for now, please sub to thread if you'd like to get the latest updates when i do update ahah,
Hope this stuff is helpful and insightful to you.
    Thank you for reading.
