My WSO is getting shared - what to do?

Basically I launched my first WSO around around 24 hours ago. Now it's already being shared across various IM forums. Is there anything I can do to stop this?

On a sidenote; this is really pissing me off since I spendt a lot of money developing this WSO and I'm selling it so cheap that ANYONE can afford it without any trouble.

Either way, please help me out!

Did you just discover the Internet? Are you shocked by the fact that people share stuff like movies, songs and books?

What did you expect would happen? If you based your WSO success on sales, your marketing sucks.

The money is in the upsales and list building.

You didn't have a strategy to monetize the shared copies? Wtf were you doing?
 
Can I get the name of the WSO so I can go download it free as well?

It's part of the game.

There will always be scammers...

and you have to take that into consideration.

if its really a good WSO... then the money you make with the other people will offset the scammers.

Think about it this way... people that pirate it... would of probably not bought it anyways..

so just push your marketing harder than they can share it...

On BHW you can talk to the mods...
If you are a contributing member here they will put it on the Do Not Share List.
 
Protecting your WSO should be a forethought not an afterthought.
 
I guess in future you should just protect it better. It depends what it is but for software you can get it so it only works one serial with one computer and you can make it very hard to crack..

If someone REALLY REALLY wants to share it though they'll find a way so as others have said you need to be putting effort into the up sells, listbuilding and other areas that you can profit from - not only the original price tag
 
Also I should say that free shares might not be the worst thing - if it is a good WSO then your name will be getting out there. People will see your products in the future and think 'that was awesome last time' and they'll want to buy your future products (provided you've protected them properly!)

If you track down the sites that it's being shared on you should be able to come to some arrangement with the webmaster (legal or otherwise)
 
Money are in shares. Really! You cant give it for free to keep interest. That's all.
 
Stop selling it to keep your integrity.
Offer support via "unique" email to everyone even the people who didn't pay for your product.
Get them to complete detailed sign up form.
Send out email to all original purchasers offering free bonus for feedback.
Filter out originals from leaches.
Send leaches a nice little bonus packed with your fake AV PPI script.

You put affiliate links in it, and/or advise users that "if they REALLY want to make the big money, they should buy your tool/sign up for your special forum" etc. This way when it is being shared around the internet, people are doing the marketing for you. Free advertising.

Depends on what you are promoting but here are a few generic ideas

For Upsells
  • Create and sell a tool that makes the method you sold much easier or more sexy
  • Promote your expensive vip add-on that will skyrocket the earnings of the method
  • Make a membership site and sell access for updates and support
  • Sell personal coaching
  • Give them an option to outsource the implementation of method to you

For List Building
  • Promise them some free extras if they subscribe to your list
  • Promise free Q/A support for everyone who registers on the list

If you see one of your products being shared on BHW, you can
send a PM to me, "blackhit" or any other Moderator and we will
delete the thread and place your product on our Do Not Share
list, so that it is not shared on BHW in the future.

Also, in the future, when you release a new product, you can
PM me or "blackhit" and we will put it on our Do Not Share list
the same day it is released. We are the only Blackhat forum
to do that. If you are a member, we will gladly accomodate you.

As far as any other forum sharing your product, you can issue
a DMCA takedown order. However, that will have no effect if
the forum is hosted offshore where the law does not apply.
