I have a bunch of unrelated wordpress sites, and I'm getting several dozen e-mails per day of basically gibberish. It appears that some sort of bot is going in and sending messages through the contact form on the site. If you know what's going on here, please let me know. Thanks.

Here's an example of an email I just received:

    From: atbgjeqra
    Subject: iyBWJOjrur

    Message Body:
    BVa1CI xxxx.kdxmakdkxnka.xxx kdxmakdkxnka</a>, [link=xxxx:wfdotlhzsute.xxx/]wfdotlhzsute[/link],

    --
This mail is sent via contact form7

I had to replace a bunch of characters with xxx, etc so this forum would let me post the message

I'm getting the same thing. Pretty sure its scrape box.

Add a check button to your contact form so people have to click it to send message. All included in contact form 7.

OP, they're just checking to see if your site allows posting without moderation.

You should probably disable that, because it's just asking for trouble as automatic posting can become a backdoor for a world of troubles you can't imagine yet.

Your email contact form has just been mistaken by somebody's bot as a commenting form. Nothing serious.
