My wordpress blog was 1st place for 1week but then dissapeared?

My wordpress blog I have with EMD at first was bouncing but then I added few "backlinks"( these aren't the normal type backlinks I know infact these are for example you have something.com/http://mywebsite.com (one person helped me)) Then I got first place on google for about a week for a nice keyword, but then it somehow dissapeared from google? it's not in any pages of google? What happened? What caused this? Please help.

This can be effect of any Google update, penalization or major/strong backlinks were removed.

It can also be due to you left working for your blog promotion.. for being on first position you need to maintain the ranking.

This is quite normal for new sites. This is called a Google dance. If you have done some things that is against Google then it can be a penalty or your site has been sandboxed

Hmm, how do I know if my site has been sandboxed? If I write http://www.mydomain.com in google my site is there, but its not for the specific keyword.

try typing site: http://www.mydomain.com

Or try linking your site to Google webmaster tool to see if its indexed.

also, when i type site:mydomain.com everything looks good
and when I type site:mydomain.com mykeyword my site is there too

I really don't understand why did this happen? My wordpress blog is not there from 12 August was there any update in google then or something?

The last couple of week G acting up


I have a couple of site which is ranked on 1st page for months but after adding couple of articles it disappeared..............lol

I think is time for me stop depending on G and put all my focus on something else
