My website was ranking 3-5 on google daily for certain keywords, and now it doesn't even rank anywhere. My side pages like ustream, twitter, and facebook are actually still up that link to my site, but my site is not being shown. What could have caused this? I added new posts with good SEO and this is still happened.
    Any advice?

Did you check to see if your website is still indexed in Google? Perhaps it was penalized. If you added your website to GWT - you may see a message regarding a penalty.

No I don't have GWT; how would I check if it is still indexed by google or not? I'm still pretty new to the SEO scene.

    Type in Google.

    Site:yoursite.com

If results show up, it is still indexed. If not, then you are not indexed at all.

Ok so it's apparently still indexed, but it's not showing up in the search. Other sites that are linking to my website are coming up, but not my website it self.

did you do any massive link building within past 3-4 days? It could be just a dance. How long since the site disappeared

    One of three things happened.

    1) Your site got penalized for something you did on-site.

    2) The majority of your backlinks got devalued. Do quality linkbuilding instead of buying spammy packages that use automated tools and outsource low quality work.

    3) You're getting danced. If your site is new or if you're building backlinks too fast, this is likely the case.

I did not use BMR or ALN, but I did buy about 3000~ backlinks, I don't know if that's a lot.

I'm tracking SERP ranks through google analytics. Through there it says the average for the particular search term is 4.7 but it's not coming up like that for me.

What would be considered massive link building? I have updated it a lot recently.. and yes its been missing from google for about 2 days.

Thanks "turdface" (lol). I guess I'll wait a few days and check back. Thank you for the fast replies once again, BHW community.

That's your trouble. You got a bunch of linkjuice from all that spam, and then Google said "wait a sec, this linkjuice shouldn't count. This is spam." and the links got devalued. So now your site is ranking where it would rank without those links.

Unless you paid 5 figures for those links, they are almost assuredly spun/automated/low quality crap.

I have 2 other websites with similar search terms without I bought backlinks that place better for those keywords that this site does. This site was doing better BEFORE i got the backlinks, and now it's worse off. When would be a good time buy them then, if at all?

any information about those 3000 backlinks? If they are profile then why????? I read that you are new to the SEO scene so please don't go by quantity but only quality now. profile links and blog comments which are en-mass are now for 2-3 tier links. Do not blast your website with them

the person I bought them from said they were good quality backlinks, something about forum backlinks and not low quality like blog backlinks. I bought these for the price I could have bought 10,000 blog backlinks from BHW so I thought these might be a bit better. I won't use them now i guess.

No, your getting it wrong. That's what i thought when I first started.

There is nothing wrong with 3,000 forum backlinks, in fact I probably have many more than that, and I rank amazingly. But you need DIVERSITY. Think of it in terms of a real website, not SEO. If you saw 3,000 forum signatures with your link in it, but nothing else, isn't that fishy? You need to spread it out between different types of backlinks. Do people only link to your site in forums? No. If somebody likes your site, maybe they will blog about it. Maybe they will make a YouTube video. Maybe they will share it with their friends on Facebook.

    Possibilities are limitless

Diversity is good, but you need to also de-optimize your anchor text...

This maybe due to Google dancing,I've experienced this before and was shocked. My site went from #3 to #hundreds...Luckily,my site went up again..back to the first page.It took about some hours before it went up.

deepjohn, it's not google dance. I've experienced that kind of thing in the past. I created a whole bunch of bad backlinks that hurt too much. What I did? Removed all that shit and just let it go and wait for couple months. Now it hit the spot again!

What position are the keywords act now? out of top 100, top 1000?.. Any more information on your backlinking profile? Is the only link building that 3k link package? What were you using for your anchors?
