My Virtual Assistant is Cheating me, again.

This is the second time around that I am catching on to a VA that i hired not actually working and actually using some sort of program to rehash old screenshots of past work.

Can someone advise me how i can better monitor this type of thing?

I am using the built in software of OnlineJobs.PH which is called TimeProof

Hire a developer to automate whatever task the VA is doing.

So this is the second time they swindled you, how many more times will you let them cheat you until you let them go and move on to one that is more trusted and reputable, such as one of the many on here in our marketplace. Rather than wasting time on ways to prevent your dishonest assistant from stealing your funds and time, cut them off and hire one that is ethical and motivated to help your business and projects grow.

Trust, loyalty, and respect.. you lose one and you lose all three, as your assistant would have with me.

She is doing manual work that cannot be automated. If i could automate it, i would use sotware instead.
There's no work that can't be automated. Quote me anywhere.

Change your employment model to a "pay per task done". Then you don't have to worry about time wasted. Tasks get done, you pay. Not done, no pay. Simple.

Lots of things still can't be automated mate, building a houses for example the list goes on.

Think you should consider increasing their pay, that they will dread losing the job.

Dude this made me laugh and I took screenshot of your post and pasted it to my pinay staff who are sleeping now.

I had my manager once catch one of my junior staff watching YT during work. Junior staff sent him screenshot and he had YT open occupying half a screen. That explained him disappearing for few mins when there was email notification of work he was doing (lets say it was 1 job per min and he would do it for few mins and there would be few min gap before confirmation emails are sent again). In my experience all the tools are garbage. I give measured expectations to my staff when I hire them. I tell them I am able to do XX micro tasks in 1 hour and measure things by that. 90% flake out eventually or crappy at their job so it takes time and effort until you find some gems. Now I am asking my gems to recruit me their friends directly, those that have good work effort.

Get many VA's, test them all out and find those that can deliver.

PS. Your post made me remember that my first full time writer who worked for ~4 years used to cheat me too. I can get resubmitting same articles multiple times. At first I counted it off as simple mistake but when she would submit articles from 2-3 months ago on her new timesheet I knew there was a problem. This was god fearing nurse not some average riff raff. Trust them with grain of salt until you really know them.

Rule 1. Hire people for the work and not for the hours.

Rule 2. Hire people from the places you trust, BHW Marketplace would be a good spot to start with.

Same as me I read it at first he cheated with his I guess Pinay over his wife.

That's one hell of a misread about wife but better than if you misread it and thought that OP had Pinay wife that was working as VA and cheating on him with customer of VA services :)

well its about digital work..so that being said, any task you do on a computer can be automated.
