Alright folks, this is quite a unique method that can make you happy in terms of financially OR emotionally. It's going to be either way
Now let me explain. Personally, I like to watch tennis and I know alot knowledge about the tennis players and matches etc. The most common ones are Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Andy Murray, Juan Martin Del Potro etc. and even more
Every matches they play, there is always a sport betting for the odds of winning the match, sets, games etc. For example, I love Roger Federer and he was playing a match in Halle against Tommy Haas in the final last week and Roger was the heavy favourite to win the title and as a result, he lost. The betting for straight sets win was $1.59 while Haa's $8.75 straight sets win against Federer (which is unlikely according to their head to head record). I placed on a bet on Haas for $25 straight sets win and I was prepared I would lose anyways. But in the end, Federer lost and as a result, financially, I won $218.75.
Now here's the thing. Had Federer won, sure, I would lose $25 betting but physologically & emotionally, I felt happy for my idol and I would treat as though if I paid $25 for an admission enterance fee or something. But if he had lost the match, sure, I felt sad emotionally BUT on the other hand, I won a bit of money here, so to me, it's like a comfort or a bonus!
So basically, you place on a bet that is dark horse with high payout and UNLIKELY to win while physcologically, you want your idol to win and that way, if either one you lose, you won't feel disappointed totally as there is a balance spirtually if you see what I am saying here.
The idea doesn't have to be tennis, it can be in any sports! But it would work if one of your idol (that you want the player or team to win) is the heavy favourite while the other opponent is a dark horse with high payout odds.
Hope that helps!
