Not bad at all, if it's your very first blog. Try to write about 5 articles and submit them to at least 5 article directories to get some backlinks and more pageviews, and add AdSense on your site, in case that you're not an affiliate. Make sure your blog has a good template and try to keep it updated. This should bring some cents to your pocket through AdSense...

Everything depends on you; do you want to make money as an affiliate or through AdSense? If you want to be an affiliate, head to clickbank, pick a product with good gravity, do a research, write an interesting article about your selected product (if you're starting as an affiliate, you should pick a product that you know something about) and simply put a hoplink at the end of the article on your site. But don't try to sell anything, keep in mind you want to help your visitors; you're not a salesperson, you're just RECOMMENDING a good product (also make sure it's a high quality product).
If you want to make money through AdSense, just keep your blog updated, build backlinks, promote your site through social sites etc. There's is a plenty of ways how to promote your site.
If you have decent writing skills, you should choose the affiliate way; with AdSense is a lot of work. That's my personal opinion.

You should give those numbers in a table-like columns and rows. But I can note that nothing can be said as good or bad unless you give much more info. It begins by selecting keyword, niche, market size and goes on with endless possibilities.
