First off, I am a geek. I started writing a Star Wars blog (self hosted WP) back in October last year. I made the blog for my own pleasure really, but I still employed a lot of methods I learnt on BHW none the less while building it. Now I find to my surprise that there are up to 4000 unique visitors to the site per day and the trend seems to be the site is getting more popular each week. People are commenting and sharing my posts on social media, FB mostly. It's very busy.

Now I've been on and off of BHW enough the last few years to know that 4k unique targeted visitors a day is enough to make some coin in most niches, but my question is: how would you monetize this particular website? I'd really appreciate your ideas.

(I'm not being lazy, I have done some research, but this seems to be the place with the best solutions).

    Thanks guys, James :)

Both. I directed my KW traffic to a page I built.

Have you tried the obvious amazon affiliate and adsense? Other than that, start collecting emails, you can draw them to content lockers when the new movie is released, social jack them to a facebook page, lots of stuff to try, cpa offers, import star wars stuff from china, sell them. Phone cases perhaps, legos, action figures.

Cheers mate. All good ideas. I did give Adsense a go, but it was silly money. Like $3 a day or something.

Start putting Amazon links in all your content. 4-5k visitors a day should turn probably at least 1k a month even if its not that targeted because they will buy other shit.

You can try to put up banners and even write a review for the game Star Wars Old Republic. Some affiliate networks have this game available for promotion and pay up to $3 per lead. Check out iqu.com , I know they have this game avaiable for sure.

    +1 for Amazon

There is so much Star Wars merch on Amazon, you will find plenty off items to promote that your visitors (and you :p) will love.
Remember you get commission for the whole shopping cart. You can even promote little star wars gimmicks that cost just a few dollars and still make a decent income out of it.

This company has a crap load of Star Wars items and they have an affiliate program:

    http://www.superherostuff.com/characters/star-wars-t-shirts/star-wars-merchandise.html

The problem is most items are smaller dollar items...and it looks like commission is 10%...you might want to only promote the top dollar items...

Are you collecting emails? If you are getting 4K visitors a day you need a very enticing exit offer...some "Star Wars VIP Club"...you should be able to get 400 emails a day...that list will build fast...then pump special offers directly to your list.

I believe you were making a joke, but you're essentially right. Sell something, monetize that huge amount of traffic with sales.
