i'm new to the whole seo scene. i'm using both the link wheel and link push method. yesterday, my site was on the first page for a long tail keyword (song name + ringtone), now it's gone. i googled site:"domain" to see if my sites were deindexed but it's still there. btw, my site is no where to be found when i search for the keyword. can anyone help?

Probably just the google dance. Give it a few days... it should come back. Keep pushing forward and try not to worry about it.

This isn't uncommon, it's happened/happening to me aswell!

It's just the google dance playing with your domain, it may take a few days to level out but bear with it.

If it is a new domain it may be that a lot of action has taken place over a short amount of time, which google's algorithm frowns upon so try not to over do it too quickly :)

Correct....start slow with a new domain but consistently increase volume of link-building. Consistency is the key! Keep building as others have said! Most of the time it will come back stronger than before...

If you are serious about SEO, you need to understand that this is more like a marathon run. It will be tough at times and you will get dance from time to time, but often if you are building links dance is actually a sign that your links are doing something and you just need to wait a little and your site will come back stronger!

Build links and add content. Rinse and repeat!

It can be any of these...

    1. Google dance -> wait for few days
    2. Google sandbox -> check your serp in sescout.com or seoserp.com and see if you are outside top 100, if it is, and it doesnt come back in a week or two, it's in sandbox
    3. Google latest update hit you hard -> a lot of people have been complaining there's another google update in the past 24 hours, maybe you were hit just like them.

This is typical with new campaigns, keep building links. As AndreyK mentioned SEO is a marathon, not a quick sprint to the top. You need to keep building links, focus on the long term. Continue building those solid links, rinse and repeat.

thanks for the tips guys. the weird thing is, i've started all my SEO campaigns with the same method. i started up 4 campaigns. 2 of them went to the first page and didn't go anywhere, they would just move up and down within the top 10. 1 of the campaigns are on page 3, and the 4th one (which the thread is about), went to first page and disappeared. the major difference with the 4th campaign is that i was linkpushing the post in my anchor text (domain/post-with-keywords-here) and the other 3 strictly had the domain names in the anchor text. i'll wait a few days and keep the thread updated.

I have experienced some strong dancing these past few days. One particularly where I did an AMR blast. I was around 300+ jump to 50, went down to 90s by end of the day and now this morning back in 300s again :(.

So it better dance its ass back out into the pre hundreds again soon or heads will roll.

    Home Page:
    It is a google dance.

Did you created ALOT of links together for the site ? Was your site new ?

Don't worry about it, just keep creating links for your site on regular basis. Dont rely on 1 source of links, link diversity is very important.

Social bookmarks, Web 2.0 properties, blog comments, profile links, blogposts, signature links. They all work :)
