Hi all,

My site was ranking pretty good and had a pretty decent traffic but three days ago it lost all positions, and I checked Majesticseo data and I found out that I've got pretty much 5000 links in just two days, which I haven't built. The content on the site is unique and I've been building only High PR links.

What is the best way to recover from this? Any suggestions?

Thanks,
mardo

add lot of content....at least 1000 words.

PR does not matter, it's only a myth for newbies. Concentrate on getting links from aged domains, and authority ones.

Well that's what I'm doing - getting links from authority sites. So, you suggest me building up content, right? How much time do you think it will take for site to recover?

Just keep building links and after a while you'll see if this is just the google dance. Rankings fluctuate heavily so this is nothing you should worry about.

So, you're suggesting I should need to build the same amount of links even though someone has blasted my site, have you guys experienced this sort of problem when your competitor has blasted your site?

What sort of links were they? How big is the site?

Well, site has 50 indexed pages on Google and all the content present on site is unique. Well, mostly links which have gone to my site are blog comments.

Hard to say without more information, and even with more info. no one could give you the right answer. I suppose the worst thing to do would be to stop building links completely. Just resume some more natural looking link building and wait and hope.

Okay, I'm gonna keep building authority links...

i just went through a google dance for 2 weeks and now the site is sitting nicely on page 1. don't look at it everyday but keep building links and you'll be alright.
