My site is only pr1 how can I get to pr5?

    My site is almost 2 years old and only pr1 how can I get it to PR5? I have quality content and it is updated

    quality backlinks n proper keyword selection is important for high pr along with quality content.

    You need more incoming links from high PR sites, preferably their high PR inner pages and their homepage. Quality, updated content has nothing to do with PR unless you are using it as a means to get quality high PR links.

    All you need is high PR backlinks, there is no other way too boost your pagerank. Anyway, pagerank has nothing to do with the quality of your site.

    Yeah, there are lot of factors on which pagerank depends. You must have a balanced backlink profile for that. [first thing]

    high PR doesn't means high quality or lot of traffics... offer solid content as first and then look for high pr backlinks, increase traffic and then PR :)

    ok thanks does it also matter if the site is a local business as is should I get backlinks from local high pr sites? If it is a site about Sacramento real estate do I need to get backlinks from Sacramento local PR sites?

    Why is pagerank so important to you? Usually the bigger(I refer to importance) the website is the higher the pagerank will have. Pagerank can be sculpted by obtaining high pagerank backlinks and limiting the internal & external links (which I'm not recommending), don't think that if you have a higher pagerank you will also have a bigger traffic(you will just have a pr5 banner that's it, yeey!).

    high pr links of the do-----follow variety. I dont understand why everyone always says pagerank is irrelevant.. yes its a dying tool that google are not actively promoting but for people in the real world ..ie not seo experts PR and Alexa rank are strong indicators of how good a site is so I would always try to get a higher Page rank.

    Buy some quality backlinks from some private network but imo PR is useless
