    I set up a website five days ago... it got indexed, wasnt coming up for any search keywords but it was indexed, i was happy. I hired someone to set me up some backlinks, 125 social bookmarks, they have gone through. I also bookmarked 20+ xrumer profile backlinks and post/signature backlinks with differing anchor text.

    I try site:mysite.com and whaddyaknow.... doesnt exist... :confused::confused::confused: wtf has happened, surely google cant kick me so quick, will i get it back??

    Oh and Backlinkwatch shows FOUR backlinks only....

    Trying to figure out the magical, mystical world of BigG is a never ending headache. I can say that often your site will rank high, then seemingly dissappear, or at least drop significantly. When that happens you can either run and hide (don't) or just keep building links. In most cases (not all) if you continue the process your site will come back up to a respectable level. I have to say though, getting completely deindexed has not happened to me. Did you use the site:youwebsite.com command?

    What probably happened is that google actually updated to realize the correct results for your site or it is just being weird and you'll see your site back in 3 days or so

    You probably built backlinks way to fast so it is most likely that you are sandboxed. that is what is sounds like to me.

    You really have to take it easy on a new site building backlinks. Build them slow at first then increase overtime.

    Thanks for the replies guys, i'll keep checking it and slowly building backlinks more so and fingers crossed it will come back.

    @thorroofer

    I'm planning on doing something similar soon too. Also i plan on setting up the settings so it is automated to submit my new websites to web directories automatically, i just need to go through each site and make a note of the text field names and add them to the list in Xrumer, will take time!

    I would suggest you to add many unique and good quality articles and link each of them to one squidoo lens, hubpage and ezine article (don't put excess of links to articles, just one hubpage, lens and ezine backlink per article). This will balance the whole site's backlinks and you can do social bookmarking and stuff for ezine, hub and lens. Quality content and backlinks wil help your site out. This is what i suggest my clients. The best way to do is hire a freelancer and get 40 articles made( 4 of each type) then post 10 on your site and then 10 on ezine, hubpages and squidoo (similar articles should link to your site's article). This is the best method to get rid of this.

    I had the same problem. Mine came back in googles index after several days but is ranking nowhere in the top 500 for the keywords. Before it had made it in the top 30 to 100 and stayed there for a couple of days. It has been two weeks and still no progress. I will just build links slowly and add fresh content over time. Move on to the next domain/project.

    Well if thats the case(5 days old) then my pr 4 site (its only 1 month old) also gets this problem, one day i see more than 5k pages indexed and after some time they become less than 4k and then increase slowly and decrease again and then i see 7k pages indexed. Its quite normal but don't stop your link building process but do it slowly.
