I have a music website that does between 300k-400k impressions per month and 100k uniques, mostly by posting new songs that are submitted by local artists. Also have a YouTube & Soundcloud account that draw 2.5 mil plays/month each (would LOVE if there's a way to monetize that, but I don't have commercial rights to most of the music). Right now I run footer ads from sovrn (formerly Lijit), which brings in $200-$300/month, and I do direct sales to artists in the area, which is great if I really put the time into it, but it's a lot of work to make any sales that are worthwhile. What can I do to monetize this better? I don't want to ruin the site by adding a ton of ads, but I feel like it should be generating a pretty sizable amount of $$ without me doing direct sales.
