She is a writer with no experience in internet marketing. She has a regular job but wants to start something of her own.
She asked me how she could make money herself instead of doing a job.
As a human, my brain started to think of all the obvious answers like:
But then I realized that these tips mean nothing to a person who knows nothing about these MMO concepts.
I will end up confusing her more, and she might give up, like most people.
So what's the best reply in layman's terms? This is what I told her:
"get an audience somehow"
This is what I figured out to put it in the easiest way, without scaring her.
Then I explained to her all the possible ways.
If she follows this formula, no matter what path she chooses, she will make money somehow.
- If she decides to be a professional of some kind, like a coder: she will require an audience as clients
- If she wants to be an internet marketer: she will require the most potential views for most conversions
This might sound dumb if you're experienced, but for 100% newbies, our concepts of making money online could get a little overwhelming for them.
So, if you're a newbie with no knowledge about the online world and want to make money online, just get an audience.
Because, after all, there will be a person on the other end who will pay you or will help you get paid, but this is something most newbies do not understand.
So, what do they start doing? Copy others' work and spam instead of adding value somehow.
To be honest, I don't know an easier way to explain how to make money online.

Even scammers need an audience to scam.
