Just received this email:

I do know, PASSWORD is your password. You do not know me and you are probably thinking why you are getting this e mail, correct?

actually, I placed a malware on the adult videos (pornography) website and do you know what, you visited this web site to experience fun (you know what I mean). While you were watching videos, your internet browser initiated working as a RDP (Remote Desktop) that has a key logger which gave me accessibility to your display and also webcam. after that, my software program obtained all your contacts from your Messenger, Facebook, as well as email.

Can't say that I kind of looked at it twice and my heart beated a little because it had an old password of mine and everything was related (I watch porn + I work in it, oops) so yeah. The only thing that did not add up was the webcam part which I always keep unplugged so fuck em.

Still though, I cannot believe these pricks are trying to earn their money by putting a poor soul into all this thinking he is getting blackmailed instead of trying IM. Besides, if this ever did happen then why guarantee would you have that you will pay them and they will not share the video or just demand more money? Fuck them, let them share the video with my 9 friends if they have a problem and let's all talk about how we all watch porn.

I hope nobody falls for this shit.

Obvious fake threat. There were big data leaks, which came to light recently with millions upon millions of email and password combos. They must be using these databases to trick people into thinking, that they have something on them, when they actually aren't. Just imagine when an everyday internet user sees his/her password in the email, it makes their story a lot more believable.
Did they manage to hit the inbox or did it go to spam?

No one can place malwares in big sites like pornhub, xvideos etc. Such stupid thing to say LMAO.

If u have adblock, privacy badger in chrome and malwarebytes premium with real time protection enabled on your pc, you are good to go.

U can go ahead and ignore this email.

Trust me I have seen many such types of emails and I dont even reply.

I got a similar email last week,supposedly sent to me from one of my accounts. But that particular account is on a remote server used only as an email forwarding address. There's not even an inbox to log in to. hah. The guy struck out with that threat.
