I have a site that i have been slowly working on for the past year and have about 200 unique articles on it. The site is currently PR3. Most articles are from iwriter and are pretty decent quality as i only have about a 15% approval rating lol. Also have a few good writers that i found on odesk.

I am not advertising for anybody and this is definitely not a "free" strategy... just outlining what i am doing.

    What i use:

    30 private proxies
    Pinblaster
    GSA SER
    Website-Watcher
    Iwriter.com articles
    Grammarly
    Silostorm Theme
    Fotolia pictures
    Market Samurai
    Yoast SEO Plugin
    Xtumble Bot
    VPS - 4proc 4GB mem.
Scrapebox and Footprint Factory (optional for finding GSA targets)
    LinkAssistant Rank Tracker

During the past year i never really focused much on seo as i was getting most of my traffic from pinterest. None of the articles were optimized and some had spelling and grammar issues.

The first thing i did was switch my wordpress theme over to SiloStorm and removed the tags and broke my site up into silos.

Last week i got a 1 year sub to grammarly. I fed all of my blog articles into it and manually fixed the grammar and spelling issues in all of them. I am building this up to be an authority site in my broad niche, so i want to plan for the long haul and have good content incase one day google gives bonus points for perfect readability.

I know there is plenty of free content on the web, but i went to fotolia and set the filter to only use only 1 credit per picture. Now each article has 1 picture set as a featured image so that the images show on category pages. I have gotten into copyright issues in the past, so i don't want to have to worry about that again.

    KW Research

As far as keyword research goes it is pretty simple to me. I look at the article and get an idea on what the article is mainly about. I put that term into the google adwords keyword tool and sort it by searches. I keep scrolling down in the list until i hit the 5k-1k mark when the long tails start coming up. I put all of these keywords into market samurai. I filter for total searches, all basic competition, and all commerciality. I try to find something that has over 2000 searches and the SEOTC and SEOUC are under 5k. If i have multiple to choose from i pick the one that has the highest adwords CPC. After i have my KW picked i go into google and type inurl:"keyword" and intitle:"keyword". If i have something that is under 500 results... KW is picked out for that article.

I use the yoast SEO plugin in wordpress and do the following:
    • Fit the keyphrase into the title with a few extra words.
    • Fit the keyphrase into the URL path with 1 extra word.
    • Edit the first paragraph and make sure to fit the keyword phrase in somehow that makes sense.
    • Edit the last paragraph and make sure to fit the keyword phrase in somehow that makes sense.
    • Take the first paragraph with the keyphrase and insert it into the meta section of yoast
    • Add the keyword to the yoast target
    • If its green.. im done

I try to use the keyword a max of 2 times per 500 words.

I save every URL, KW, Monthly searches to a tab in my spreadsheet. I added up all the traffic from each KW and it comes out to about 500K searches a month.

I took my long keyword list and sent it to iwriter and am getting 1 article written per kw. Am building 1 T1 site per KW and pointing it to the article on my blog. I never use the kw as anchor text and instead use naked url and generics.
    My T1s include:
    • areavoices.com
    • blog.com
    • blogspot.com
    • jux.com
    • over-blog.com
    • roon.io
    • svbtle.com
    • tumblr.com (my favorite)
    • weebly.com
    • yolasite.com

Every T1 is completely hand made by me with a full BS profile and profile pic. All articles are added by hand with multiple pictures. I try to make each one look like a real blog.

All T1 article URLS are added to website-watcher 2013 so that i will see if one is taken offline.

    GSA

I point GSA to these T1s using conextual links only and a full url\badword filter list to create my Tier 2. I point GSA to T2 using all platforms and url\badword filter.

If i find that a T1 has been removed then i go into GSA and remove that url from the target list and remove any references to it in the T2 job.

I have pinblaster, but am not using it for this project. I do use pingrabber which comes with pinblaster. I look up one of my keywords and find a huge board with thousands of pics. I download all the images and do a quick runthrough in paintshop pro to remove all crappy images and unrelated.

    Parasites

Over the past few months i have become a platinum writer on ezine by submitting some of my articles to them after they were indexed on my site. I did not do this to get backlinks from ezine.. i did this to create sort of a "honeypot". All of my articles link via naked url to various subpages on my site. I also worded my resource box so that it is unique just to me and i can easily find them in a google search. Every few days i do a search for people that have copied my articles and used them on their site with the URL link. I know many people copy them and don't put the link in, but i don't care. When i find a blog that is higher than PR1 and is using my article... i add that URL to the list of sites that my T1 GSA is hitting. This effectively makes their page a T1 link for GSA blasts.

    Xtumble Bot

I have 30 tumblr accounts(adding more each day) and a sub to xtumble bot.
I set up a bit.ly account and made a url for each one of my pages. I also have 10 domains with "easyredirect" script installed on them and have links to all my pages on each.
I do this so that i dont have all links on each of the bots going to the same site. I figure the diversity helps avoid "certain red flags". The bot runs 24x7 submitting no more than 4 pics, 4 likes, and 4 follows per account per hour. I have a list of similar keywords for each of my sites keywords and this is what it searches for in tumblr and is also used as a caption. Each day i run a different set of KWs to build picture links to all urls on my site.

    Wrapping it up

My reason for doing this the way i did is because i am trying to make a broad niche site with multiple micro-niche pages in a silo structure. I will have the flexibility of going to one of my writers in the Philippines and saying "write me an article in this broad niche and i will find a long tail for it".

I welcome any tips or suggestions.

Hopefully all of this made sense and i didn't leave anything out in my haste... maybe i should have put it through grammarly : ) Trying to finish it up real quick before i gotta go to a meeting.

I started this project on friday and will see where it goes and i will post updates.

Are the tier 1s with the keyword ranking in the top 100 for you? I recently got some problems with that.
btw. or do you see changes after creating those tier 1s?

yea maybe i should be tracking those. My T1 articles are niche related, but they don't contain the exact keywords that they are linking to on the moneysite so i wouldn't expect them to be ranking high.

I just recently got the T1s up this week and have not see much change yet
