Ok, I think I finally have something worthwhile to share. This is only the 2nd thread I've ever started.

I've been here a couple of months now, and have went thru the confusion and information overload that everyone gets from reading all the mind-boggling threads.

I've felt the surge of adrenaline and hope from reading a method for making money. It's like a drug, you just can't get enough, and have to read more and more.

Many people never get past that point, and never put the information into practice. Some may put it into practice, and give up too soon.

PICK A METHOD TO TRY! Or, if you're like me, totally addicted to this forum & have to check it everyday to see if anything has been added..........PICK ALL THE METHODS YOU WANT TO TRY.

Make folders on your computer. One for each method. Start copying and pasting the posts for the method, and put them in a text file, then into it's folder.

Now, here's the little secret. After you've done the above, you'll realize that there are certain members that post alot about a method. They will stand out in your mind as really knowing what the hell they're posting about.

Start clicking on their names in the thread, one by one. When you click on a members name, you have an option to see all of their posts.

    IT'S A GOLDMINE PEOPLE :D

You can go thru their posts, and mine the information they have contributed to the method you want to learn.

For example, I want to learn Ebay/EPN. I have found 6 members that stand out. I went thru each member's posts, and cut and pasted their comments that were specific to Ebay/EPN. I put it in a text file, and then moved on to the next member.......putting their comments into the same text file.

What I've ended up with looks like a one-on-one interview from each member, giving me information about Ebay/EPN.

DO it. It's awesome. If you have a question about that topic, just look at your text file.

It will also save you from being flamed or told bluntly to use the search function, and put you ahead of the pack........because you've just gleaned the best information possible about a method or topic.

I think this may be a time-waster to be honest. The best way to do something, is to START. If you have questions along the way, use the search. I use to do what you suggested. It works good for finding good methods.. but you don't need to know everything about a method to start... the best thing to do is start and use the search engine to catch your fumbles while you go!

That all depends on what you plan on doing. Sometimes it best to learn then implement to make sure you covered yourself. It all depends on how blackhat your going.

    I don't think it's a time-waster either.
I did something similar, and it helped me a lot.

Essentially it's about doing your research first and approaching your selected method(s) with some planning as opposed to going at it all guns blazing and then complaining that they don't work!!

The common trap you can fall into, especially on this forum, is information overload, as stated above. So, there will come a point when you have to stop reading and start implementing. This failure to take action is the downfall of many I fear.

some of your ideas i already use and it does help stay organized if you want to use 2 or 3 methods at the same time.
I see people saying stick to only one method blalabla... if you save all ur info in folders make notes in txt files just like he said and i also have a to-do list you can easily handle 2 or 3 methods at the same time...
right now im doing AC, SSM, promoting fake pages with iframed offers and helping other people faking id's / selling stuff.. all because i organize my shyt with folders!

Yes it is hard to keep up with all the information given on this site. I can see both sides. Just have to find a good medium and start from there. Jump too soon and your next post will be how you lost your money though.

I came here a while ago and suffered the same information overload and consequently failed to implement anything.
I then had a break before returning with a similar plan, of researching each "section" i.e Youtube methods, CPA, blogging etc etc and then making folders with each section of research in it.
i then decided to focus on one area (CPA) and then actually implement the ideas I had collected.
It works for me and once I am earning a steady income i will move on to the next section. This keeps my mind focused as it is so easy to drift off when the next "big" idea comes up

A few days ago I accidentally discovered that I had MS One Note installed.
My original impression was that it seemed to feature rich for just collecting random crap. But, now I think it will be perfect for collecting topical research the way Teague has done. Fast, easy and relative, hell, you can even add tables, video and audio clips to One Note, and I'm sure it will print to the PDF format. I'm seeing short relevant guides that look somewhat professional just for copying and pasting.

    Goodbye Flashnote, my old friend.

Thank you Teague for the unneeded distraction;)
Lemons to lemonade as they say.

Are people really so helpless that they, under no circumstance, can help themselves and need this 'guide'? Hm, ok. I pity those. :g

I'm quite sure that there will be no 'pity' needed if people implement some of my 'guide'.

They'll be the ones 'pity-ing' others that spend 10 minutes reading about some method, trying to implement it, and come back complaining that it didn't work, or they were banned from their networks and affiliate accounts.

    This isn't a game.
    Ya want to make money,
    And KEEP making money,
    Learn the ropes.

It will give you a head start with 'what' to do, and what 'not' to do.

If you don't do some part of gathering information on what method you want to do..........and go off half-cocked..........if you're persistant, you'll come back here and find out some more information. THEN you'll smack yourself, for not researching it better, and delaying your timeframe for successful money making.

i agree but first before you start do some research make sure you know as much about it as possible then act on it going into something with just a idea of how to do something is hard sometimes do the research like the army says
    identify
    make a game plane
    review game plane
    ask for advice
    then carry it out

I actually think this is a great post for newbs. What some may see as obvious others do not.
I almost have done your method but what I did at first because I wanted to make money immediately was I skimmed through the forum quickly. We all have strengths and weaknesses and for every topic I liked but needed to research some more I just bookmarked it.
I quickly found something that I could do right now and it is working out way better than I could have ever hoped for. So I'm making great money right now and still researching for future methods once this one becomes way too saturated.

I think everyone should change their desktop background to a simple white background with a huge bold black font that says "DO IT!"

But I do think the OP has a good idea with the different folders, etc. All my text files are all over the place.
